Genshin Impact Kinich farming guide – All Talent & Ascension materials

Kinich is one of Genshin Impact's most important Natlan characters, as he plays a huge role in the region's Archon Quests. He's also a five-star Dendro claymore user who boasts fun animations and gameplay. If you're interested in building Kinich, farm for the materials below.

Genshin Impact Kinich level-up, Talent, & Ascension materials

Kinich Level-up cost

You'll need Hero's Wit and Mora to level Kinich up to 80 or 90.

Kinich Ascension materials & cost

Collect 420,000 Mora and the following materials to fully Ascend Kinich to Ascension level six, which is the maximum possible.

Local Specialty & Boss material

x168 Saurian Claw Succulent

x46 Overripe Flamegranate

Each character requires a local specialty and boss material for Ascension. Kinich's local specialty is the Saurian Claw Succulent, a paw-shaped plant that grows around the Sulfurous Veins and Children of Echoes. You also need to collect Overripe Flamegranates, which can be farmed from the Gluttonous Yumkasaur Mountain King in the underground cave in Tequemecan Valley.

As a Dendro unit, Kinich needs Nagadus Emerald materials, which are dropped by all Dendro Normal, World, and Weekly Bosses, including, but not limited to the Jadeplume Terrorshroom and Dendro Hypostasis. Additionally, it's possible to convert materials using the Crafting Table to turn any Elemental Gemstones into Dendro ones.

Kinich's common Ascension materials are Fangs dropped by Saurians and Saurian Whelps, which can exclusively be found anywhere in Natlan. You don't have to specifically farm from Yumkasauri—Tepetlisauri and Koholasauri drop the same materials as well.

Kinich's Talent level-up materials & cost

Prepare 1,652,500 Mora and the following materials to level up all three of Kinich's Talents to level 10. It's not necessary to max out all of his Talents, so I suggest collecting these gradually as you build him.

Kinich's Talent books can be farmed from the Blazing Ruins Domain in Natlan. The Kindling series is only available on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, so adjust your farming days accordingly.

Common Ascension and Talent materials are always the same, so you'll have to farm extra Fangs to level up Kinich's Talents.

Weekly Boss material & Crown of Insight

Crowns of Insight are used to level up Talents from nine to 10 and are rare event rewards that can only be obtained from one major event per update. You only need to collect them if you intend to level Kinich's Talent(s) up to 10. Meanwhile, Kinich's Weekly Boss material is the Denial and Judgment, which is dropped by The Knave in the Scattered Ruins Domain in Mont Esus East.
