Genshin Impact's Version 4.2 update is about to sizzle with drama fresh from the Opera Epiclese. HoYoverse recently unveiled a waifu pair to feature in the next version update, featuring Hydro Archon Furina and Steambird Reporter Charlotte.
The two couldn't be a better pair made in operatic heaven. These two girls are always trying to get the latest scoop within Fontaine and beyond, whether by sitting in on all the dramatic court cases or running around Teyvat in search of the next big headline.
Everything you need to know about Furina & Charlotte in Genshin Impact 4.2
The Hydro Archon Furina made a dramatic entrance in the Fontaine storyline, welcoming the Traveler to the nation of justice with a quickly overturned accusation. Like other Archons, she's expected to be a five-star Hydro character, and leakers claim her weapon would be a sword.
According to leakers, Furina's kit is an interesting one. HoYoverse has historically made all Archons extremely good, and Furina seems to follow the trend. Leaks frame her to be an HP-scaling, off-field sub-DPS unit with summoning mechanics with abilities similar to an upgraded Yelan. However, she seems to reduce the team's HP to increase her summons' damage output. She also seems to align with both Pneuma and Ousia, with two versions of her Elemental Skill depending on her current alignment.
Interestingly, her drip marketing message was written by a mage named "N," who could be Nicole of the Hexenzirkel.

Charlotte is an ultra-dedicated Reporter from The Steambird, a Fontainian publication covering everything from astrology to the latest news. She's always on the hunt for the latest scoop—with little regard for her safety. Players first met Charlotte in the King of Invokations Grand Prix held all over Teyvat, and it won't be long before she can finally join your team as a playable character.
While HoYoverse has not officially revealed Charlotte's star rarity and weapon, leakers believe that she may be a four-star Cryo catalyst user. Leakers also allege that her kit will be akin to an Attack-scaling healer.
Both Furina and Charlotte are confirmed to appear in Version 4.2, but their banner orders are currently uncertain. Genshin Impact's next update, Version 4.1, will feature Neuvillette and Wriothesley. It's set to launch on September 27, 2023, at 11AM (UTC+8) or September 26, 2023, at 8PM (PST) and 10PM (CST). Version 4.2 is expected to be released six weeks later, assuming no delays.
