How to get Festering Desire in Genshin Impact

Festering Desire is a beautiful dark sword that is an event exclusive. Meaning that this sword was only available for players to get during the Dragon Event. The Dragon Event ran from December 23 to January 5, making it and its subsequent event items no longer available to players.

What to look for in the Future

Currently, Genshin Impact has no repeating events, instead, implementing a new event each month. As a lot of quests, areas, and items are exclusive to these events, players will have to attend to receive or experience any of them. While this can be quite frustrating, things may change in the future.

For example, in Honkai Impact, another game by miHoYo, there are Time Capsules. Time Capsules are a type of shop that allows players to buy past event specific items. This enables players to still get some of the event experience that they missed. While this hasn't been implemented for Genshin Impact, miHoYo may choose to do this in the future due to many players being upset that they cannot replay or buy content from events they have missed. For now, players should try to make it to all of the events they are excited about when they are running, as it is the only guaranteed way to receive any of the event items.
