How to get the One Step Too Far Sumeru Hidden Achievement in Genshin Impact

Lose against the ultra-fast Hilmi in the race.

One Step Too Far is a Genshin Impact Hidden Wonders of the World Achievement that can be obtained by slipping up in a race against Hilmi. You can only get it during the Sumeru Daily Commission called Run, Hilmi, Run!, where you must race against a child named Hilmi in Aaru Village.

How to slip up in a race against Hilmi in Genshin Impact

Before starting, make sure that you have unlocked Sumeru Commissions and the Sumeru desert. There's no way to guarantee when you'll get the required Commission as it's completely random, but you can increase your chances by setting your Commission location to Sumeru in the Adventurer's Handbook.

Once you get the Commission called Run, Hilmi, Run!, speak to Ebeid in Aaru Village to initiate the racing competition. It's a short match where you and Hilmi will race to the glowing spot pictured above. You must not win the race to get the One Step Too Far Hidden Achievement. The easiest way to lose is by not moving until Hilmi gets to the finish point.
