How to solve the three Kory Drum Time Trials puzzle in Genshin Impact

While you explore the Realm of Farakhkert in Genshin Impact, you may come across three Time Trials that are different from most. They surround a small pool to the west of the Hills of Barsom, and they require you to solve some Kory Drum puzzles to unlock them. Once you finish all three trials, you'll be awarded a total of six exquisite chests and and Luxurious chest to boot! Here's what to do.

How to complete the three Realm of Farakhkert Kory Drum Time Trials in Genshin Impact

To unlock these three Time Trials, you'll first need to complete Three Kory Drum puzzles in the same locations. Once you complete each Kory Drum puzzle, the Time Trial will appear. The Time Trials consist of using each corresponding Kory Drum puzzle pattern to jump on floating mushrooms within a given amount of time. Here's a breakdown to solve each individual puzzle. How to complete the first Kory Drum Time Trial

These three Kory Drum puzzles have no plunging attacks required, so you'll only need to use normal attack strikes to complete the puzzle. To solve the first Kory Drum puzzle, north of the center island, you'll need to strike or skip striking the drum when the yellow ring appears in the following pattern: Strike, Skip, Skip, Stirke, Skip, Strike, Strike, Skip.

Once you've solved the Kory Drum Puzzle, the Time Trial will appear. You'll need to jump on the floating mushrooms towards the center island in a way that corresponds to the Kory Drum Pattern you just solved. You'll have two minutes to make it across. Jump on only the first, fourth, sixth, and seventh floating mushrooms to complete the trial.

How to complete the second Kory Drum Time Trial

This second puzzle, west of the center island, follows the same rules as the first. Strike or skip striking the drum when the yellow ring appears in the following pattern: Strike, Skip, Strike, Skip, Strike, Skip, Strike, Skip.

The second time trial will then appear. Jump on only the following floating mushrooms towards the center island: first, third, fifth, and seventh.

How to complete the third Kory Drum Time Trial

The third and final puzzle is south and east of the center island. Strike or skip striking the drum when the yellow ring appears in the following pattern: Strike, Strike, Skip, Strike, Strike, Skip, Strike, Strike.

The final time trial will then appear. Jump on only the following floating mushrooms towards the center island: first, second, fourth, fifth, seventh, and eighth.

For each Kory Drum puzzle and Time Trial you'll receive an Exquisite Chest as a reward. Completing all six puzzles will make a Luxurious Chest appear on the center island.

How to solve Kory Drum Puzzles in Genshin Impact

Kory Drum Puzzles are unique to the Realm of Farakhkert region in Genshin Impact. To solve them, you'll need to strike a drum when indicated by yellow rings according a specific pattern. The pattern is generally encoded in leaves on a pictograph nearby.

How to read Kory Drum Puzzle Pictographs

Read all Pictographs from top to bottom, then left to right. An empty leaf means you do not strike the drum for one yellow beat. A half-full leaf means you use a normal attack to strike the drum for one beat. Finally, a full leaf means you'll need to jump in the air and perform a plunging strike for one yellow beat. If you mess up a beat, the puzzle will immediately reset and you will need to start from the beginning.

Solving a Kory Drum Puzzle will generally reward you with a exquisite chests. You'll also need to solve plenty of them to rescue Rashnu during Awakening's Real Sound, a part of the Khvarena of Good and Evil World Quest.
