The Key of Khaj-Nisut is a five-star sword designed to buff the wielder's HP and Elemental Mastery, and apply a party-wide Elemental Mastery buff that scales against the wielder's HP. It's the perfect companion for HP-scaling characters like Nilou and Kuki Shinobu.

How to get the Key of Khaj-Nisut in Genshin Impact

The Key of Khaj-Nisut is a limited weapon that can only be obtained whenever it's featured on rate-up in the Epitome Invocation banner, which you can pull on using Primogems and Intertwined Fates. As such, you need to wait for it to go on rotation and chart an Epitomized Path to guarantee the Key of Khaj-Nisut at the third pity.

• Base Attack: 44-542
• Substat: HP (14.4 to 66.2 percent)
• Passive: Sunken Song of the Sands—HP increased by 20/25/30/35/40 percent. When an Elemental Skill hits opponents, you gain the Grand Hymn effect for 20 seconds. This effect increases the equipping character's Elemental Mastery by 0.12/0.15/0.18/0.21/0.24 percent of their Max HP. This effect can trigger once every 0.3 seconds. Max 3 stacks. When this effect gains three stacks, or when the third stack's duration is refreshed, the Elemental Mastery of all nearby party members will be increased by 0.2/0.25/0.3/0.35/0.4 percent of the equipping character's max HP for 20 seconds.

Who can use the Key of Khaj-Nisut in Genshin Impact

The Key of Khaj-Nisut focuses on buffing HP and Elemental Mastery based on the wielder's HP, so it's the perfect weapon for support characters whose kits also revolve around these two stats. As a result, it's a niche weapon that can only be efficiently used by two characters:

• Nilou
• Kuki Shinobu

However, since the Key of Khaj-Nisut also buffs the wielder and team's Elemental Mastery, it's a good idea to build the wielder as in a way that allows them to constantly trigger Elemental Reactions. That could mean picking a Bloom build for Nilou as opposed to solely focusing on her personal DPS. Additionally, you may want to add characters who benefit from Elemental Mastery into the team to efficiently proc the weapon's passive bonus.
