Which is better, Beacon of the Reed Sea or Staff of the Scarlet Sands? – Genshin Impact

Which one to choose?

If you plan to use hard-earned fates on Genshin Impact's Weapon Banner, you'll want to make use of the Epitomized Path function. It won't guarantee that you'll get that weapon quickly, per se, but it can give you a guarantee that you'll obtain the weapon of your choice after a certain amount of pulls. Genshin Impact Version 3.5 offers players the choice between the Beacon of the Reed Sea or Staff of the Scarlet Sands. Here's which one we think you should pick.

Should you choose the Beacon of the Reed Sea or the Staff of the Scarlet Sands in Genshin Impact

It depends. While both the Beacon of the Reed Sea and the Staff of the Scarlet Sands are powerful five-star weapons, they are both specifically designed to be used by Dehya and Cyno, respectively. Both have an attractive Crit Rate substat, but their weapon skills are incredibly niche and geared strictly toward the character they were designed for. If you want to spoil either of these characters, that's the weapon to choose.

If you don't have either Dehya or Cyno, it's hard to recommend pulling on this banner. Unlike weapons such as the Wolf's Gravestone or the Staff of Homa, these two that are currently featured are not very usable on other characters. If you want more value out of your five-star weapons, we'd recommend waiting to pull on another banner.
