Where to find Glowing Embers in God of War Ragnarok

To find Glowing Embers in God of War: Ragnarök, you must complete challenges at the Crucible in Muspelheim. Getting Glowing Embers is not easy, as Muspelheim Trials have various conditions that impact the fights. But before you even start those battles, you need to access The Crucible. Follow these instructions on how to obtain Glowing Embers in God of War: Ragnarök:

Find Muspelheim Realm Seeds in God of War Ragnarok

To get to the Crucible, you'll need two Muspelheim seed halves. You can find seeds in the Bay of Bounty area of Svartalfheim. There are four locations where you can get the Muspelheim realm seed halves:

  1. Near Modvitnir's Rig
  2. Freyr's Camp in Vanaheim (you must have Draupnir Spear)
  3. Alberich Hollow area of Svartalfheim
  4. Muspelheim's Burning Cliffs near Mystic Gateway

Complete Muspelheim Trials in God of War Ragnarok

You can begin the Crucible side quest by obtaining two Muspelheim seed halves. Be patient, as you'll need to complete several trials to receive enough Smoldering Embers. Because of the difficulty of the challenges, wait until you're at least level 8 before you try completing the Crucible favor side quest. Besides Smoldering Embers, you'll also need to find other resources like Whispering Slab or Hardened Remnants.
