How to build Kislev Streltsi in Total War: Warhammer 3

Unleash the Streltsi!

Streltsi are one of the best units for Kislev in Total War: Warhammer 3. With good stats, great range, and both Guns and Great Weapons, they’re all-purpose troops with incredible utility.

In order to build Streltsi, you’ll first need a Settlement levelled up to level III. This level is called a Town.

Next you’ll need to make sure you’ve built a barracks in the settlement. This, too, will need to be levelled up to level III. For Kislev, a level III barracks is called a Casern. This unlocks the recruitment of Streltsi, and you will have already unlocked Kossars and Armored Kossars, giving you access to the core infantry of the Kislev army.

Streltsi excel at the front of firing lines. They’re similar to Thunderers from the Dwarf armies of previous games, except they’re better at getting stuck in hand-to-hand fighting. In a game where ranged attacks are far more potent than they’ve ever been in a Total War: Warhammer game, the Streltsi are invaluable.

It’s best to build your Streltsi barracks in a large region, such as the Eastern or Northern Oblast. Do this rather than rush it in your one-settlement province of Kislev or the Cursed City. This way, you’re able to recruit the Streltsi in a larger area as you patrol your domain.
