If you've been looking for an opportunity to upgrade your Chocobo's barding, you've come to the right place. Final Fantasy XIV – Making the Windswept Barding

One way to craft the Windswept Barding is through crafting. Should you choose to craft the barding, it will require the following ingredients:

  • 3 Earth Cluster
  • 3 Wind Cluster
  • 1 Pearl of Winds
  • 2 Golden Silk
  • 1 Amynodon Leather
  • 2 Chondrite Ingot

These items can drop after the fight with Barbariccia (extreme version). To craft the barding, you must also meet certain requirements in terms of your leatherworking proficiency. You must be a level 90 or above leatherworker and also be a Specialist Leatherworker who has equipped the Specialist Soul.

Should you be lucky enough to obtain crafting materials after defeating a boss, you can then make bardings that replicate the style of the fallen foe. In this case, the armor would be the Windswept Barding that is reminiscent of Barbariccia's style.

It is also possible to simply buy Bardings off of the Market Place. If you aren't a big fan of crafting, this is most likely the way for you to go.
