Where is the Time Capsule in Lost Judgment – Side Case

You know when Lost Judgment will start opening up because an array of Side Cases will come available. One side case you can do straight away is called Where is the Time Capsule.

At the school at night, you'll meet three graduates from Seiryo Highschool, and they buried a time capsule ten years ago. But they can't remember where they hid it. They ask Yagami for help. What they do have is a riddle of the location.

The giant's wheel lords over the tree with the most branches, three steps south from the roots. Two more steps east, and there a treasure rests.

Now you must search outside the school, attempting to locate a tree with the most branches. Luckily, we have investigation mode and can go around looking at all the trees to find the correct one. The tree is located at the northwestern corner of the Seiryo High School Courtyard.

But even if you find the correct tree, you cannot get ahead of the puzzle. It will not trigger. You can spend ages focusing on the area around the tree, but nothing will happen. This is because you need to find the first part of the riddle—The giant's wheel.

If you look to the right of the tree, there is a Ferris Wheel lit up like an RGB keyboard. Use your investigation mode on the Ferris Wheel, and then when you approach the tree. A cutscene will happen of Yagami digging up the time capsule.

Take the capsule back to the three graduates, and they'll mention it's not the same one they remember burying. Select the option "Someone mistakenly took yours for their own," and you'll open the capsule. At this point, the side case is almost completed, but if you talk to the gentlemen again, you can find out more information about the contents and the letter and carry on.

Choose the option that mentions a "Where do they live," and Ogikubo will draw you a portrait of Goto. You now need to head to Chinatown and find her. Head to the marker, which is almost hidden by the Taxi icon on the map—just to the north of Breakwater DR.

When you get there, you'll see a blue circle, enter it, and you'll enter Target Search Mode. The target is the lady in white to the north, next to the restaurant.
