Halo Infinite Slayer Mode – Release Date and How to Play

Play and slay your way.

Halo Infinite's Multiplayer has been relatively well-received by the community, with players commending the gameplay on a wide scale. However, one game area that did receive criticism was the inability to choose specific modes when launching multiplayer games. Traditional modes like Slayer weren't available for players to select. Thankfully, 343 Industries has announced the addition of playlists like Slayer for Halo Infinite.

343 Industries released Slayer playlists on Dec. 14, 2021, in Halo Infinite. To play Slayer, load up the Multiplayer component of Halo Infinite, and browse the now expanded list of game modes. There are two variations of the beloved multiplayer mode to select:

  • Team Slayer: 4 vs. 4 matches of Halo's Team Deathmatch equivalent. First time to 50 kills wins.
  • FFA Slayer: 8 players battle simultaneously for supremacy. First player to 25 kills wins.

You'll be able to play Slayer as long as you'd like and switch to other modes at your leisure now, and 343 Industries has promised that more modes are coming to Halo Infinite soon.
