Halo Infinite's multiplayer is free to play, which means it can reach more players than ever before. With this increased number of players will be more issues. All players will occasionally have problems with quitting games or losing connection.
Whether you leave a match on purpose or by accident, Halo Infinite's multiplayer will track these actions. Each time you leave a game, you can receive a temporary ban which increases in time the more you leave. The only solution to fix this is to wait until the time is up or stop leaving games.

- First Offense - 5 minutes.
- Second Offense - 15 minutes.
- Third Offense - 30 minutes.
- Fourth Offense - 1 hour.
- Fifth Offense - 3 hours.
- Sixth Offense - 16 hours.
Leaving a match before it is finished will leave your team at a severe disadvantage and will likely result in a loss and reduce a player's rank. These bans are to discourage leaving a match early due to frustration. If you get frustrated, take a step back and cool off before continuing.
If you are dropping matches frequently and receiving numerous bans, you should look into your network. Sometimes you can get lucky, and simply resetting your router can improve your connection. But you may have to bite the bullet and upgrade your internet or continue dropping matches and getting bans.
