Halo is no stranger to horde modes. Indeed, Firefight was introduced in the series back in 2009 with Bungie's spin-off title Halo 3: ODST.
That said, there have been no announcements regarding horde modes for Halo Infinite at the time of writing, so it's safe to say that if horde mode is coming someday, it's probably a ways away. Halo Infinite Multiplayer Season 2 could introduce a horde or Firefight mode once the first season ends in May 2022.

Audio from the game's announcer leaked last year (video from Eliteious' YouTube channel), hinting at what could be a Flood-based horde mode. In it, the announcer says "Flood" and "survive against the Flood to win," which sounds like he's setting up a Flood mode. There has been a lot of contention over this due to the allegedly leaked audio. Some fans believe it's proof that it's coming, while others call it cut content.
Even if 343 Industries had cut it before, it could always come back.
343 Industries told IGN that Halo Infinite was the "start of our platform for the future," so it's not unrealistic to expect it to change and grow over time. Although there is no horde or Firefight mode today, it appears likely that 343 Industries will continue to add and remove features based on fan feedback.
In other words, if you want horde mode, now is the time to ask.
