Where to get all the map code pieces in Hello Neighbor 2

Once you've dug up the safe outside using the shovel on the roof of the house, you'll now need to figure out how to open it. It requires a five number code, with each corresponding to a different color. If you look at the cork board on the wall in the hunter's bedroom, you'll notice there are five different colored pins matching the colors on the safe's dials. This broken map will eventually reveal the code you need. The first piece is already there, which means you will need to find four more pieces.

The pieces of the map are all hidden around the house in various locations. Some of them will require you to solve a specific puzzle or get to a blocked off space. The easiest piece to find is in a locked chest under the stairs.

To get this piece, you'll need to first find the key to the chest. The key is hidden inside the hunter's pillow on his bed, so you'll need your scissors at the ready to cut through and retrieve it. Then make your way down the stairs to the lower level and use your crowbar to pry a few boards down that are blocking your way to the chest. You can then unlock it and grab the piece.

You'll find another piece of the map stuck in the mouth of one of the bear statues, but to make the bear release the piece, you will need to find the missing lever, or in this case, replace the lever with the one that is available. To do this, head to the lower level of the house where the matching bear statue is located and take the working switch off of him. Place the switch onto the bear in the side room on the main level. Now you can flip the switch and grab the piece from the bear's open mouth.

Looking closely at the microwave located in the kitchen, you can find another piece trapped inside. Opening the microwave will require a little bit of work. You'll need to activate four boar heads to unlock it. You'll find the first boar head directly above the microwave. The eyes will glow green once activated to show that is turned on. However, you'll need to run and activate the three others before it returns to its off position. Here's where you can find them all:

  • Boar Head 1: Over the microwave in the kitchen.
  • Boar Head 2: On the main level, in the side bear room, hanging high on the wall near the upper beams.
  • Boar Head 3: On the lower level, hanging on the wall.
  • Boar Head 4: On the upstairs level, hanging high on the wall near the beams.

To retrieve the final piece of the map, you'll need to fix a pair of antlers hanging on the wall that opens a secret compartment in the nearby bookcase where the piece is hidden. To do this, you'll need to find a way to open the fridge, which holds the missing antler. You'll notice that the fridge is missing three of its letters. These letters are hidden around the house and are what you need to find to unlock the fridge. Here's where you can find all of them:

  • B: In the side bear room, on a plaque on the wall high in the beams near hanging antlers.
  • F: Under the toilet lid in the bathroom on the main level (directly to the left at the bottom of the stairs).
  • C: On the roof of the house, on top of a yellow paint bucket.

Place all the letters on the fridge and it will open up and reveal the missing antler. Then you can fix the pair of antlers which will active the secret compartment and allow you to retrieve the final piece to the map. You can now head back to the cork board and attempt to piece the broken map back together.

How to unlock the hunter's safe with the map code in Hello Neighbor 2

With the first piece already on the board, you can begin piecing the map together like a puzzle, lining up the proper edges and creating the proper rectangle shape. It should look like the image above if you have all the pieces in the right spots. Now you can use this map to decipher the code to the safe outside.

You'll want to pay close attention to the color of the pins in each piece and the numbers of each. The order of the colored dials on the safe is what you use to figure out the right number order. The colors on the safe go in this order: blue, purple, white, red, and green. With that being said, this is what you'll enter into the safe:

  • Blue: 8
  • Purple: 0
  • White: 1
  • Red: 6
  • Green: 4

It should look like this: 8-0-1-6-4. The safe will automatically open once you enter the numbers into the safe correctly. Then you can grab the key from inside and prepare to head back to the museum.
