What should I build?

Hero's Hour has many different aspects, and one of the most important is your town. This acts like your army's central hub and is where you will spend much of your time recruiting troops, hiring heroes, and building.

Building in Hero's Hour can be overwhelming, as there is a lot to consider. Buildings primarily serve as ways to recruit more units and provide other benefits to your army. Below, we will explain building in Hero's Hour and share our recommendations.

You can build a single building each day in your town. When you hover over a building, it will tell you the number of resources needed, whether you can build it, and its bonuses. When you have decided on which building to construct, simply double-click the building in your town's build menu.

Some buildings have prerequisites, such as building other buildings first or leveling up your town. Until you meet these requirements, you cannot construct that building. Hovering over the building or looking at the gray lines connecting them will tell you their prerequisites.

Building recommendations

We recommend focusing on building any economic buildings that provide a resource income first, as the economy is one of the most important aspects of Hero's Hour. While the amount they provide does not seem like much, you will soon deplete the overworld resources and need this income.

You should also build the Tavern, Infirmary, and Tower of Mages as quickly as possible. These are all helpful buildings that you will want to use as you progress, and they should raise your town's level. Once these buildings are constructed, your build order will vary, depending on your faction.

After these, we recommend building a mixture of structures that provide units and bonuses. Each faction has unique buildings that typically provide a strong benefit, so these are also good choices. As you progress further in the game, you will need to assess which buildings to construct as you go.
