There was no mention of Microtransactions at PlayStation's Hogwarts Legacy State of Play on March 17, 2022. Many fans are justifiably concerned about the presence of Microtransactions in any AAA game releasing in 2022, as they have been the bane of many games in recent years.
Chandler Wood, the Community Manager at Avalanche Studios, took to his Twitter after the game's showcase to ease fan concern over the issue of Microtransactions. He confirmed that Microtransactions will not be present in Hogwarts Legacy.
This should come as no surprise to fans as Hogwarts Legacy is slated to be a largely single-player experience and Microtransactions usually revolve around the online multiplayer aspect of games. There is still a valid reason for concern, but fans anticipating the game can be relieved that they won't have to spend extra money to have fun in Hogwarts Legacy.
