Honkai Star Rail Reroll Guide

AKA how to pull Himeko.

HoYoverse has done it again and hooked us all with another gacha waifu simulator in Honkai: Star Rail. If you want a specific character, you must roll for it using Warps, which HoYoverse gives you for free upon starting the game. But if you don't get who you're after with the free Star Rail Pass rolls, there is a way to try again. Here's how to reroll in Honkai: Star Rail.

How to reroll in Honkai Star Rail

To reroll in Honkai Star Rail, you essentially need to play through the intro of the game again, which can take you 45 minutes plus. It's a very time-consuming process, so only reroll if you have the patience or really didn't like your pull; in our opinion, take what you get and start playing.

Like HoYoverse's other popular game, Genshin Impact, you roll for characters and weapons using a specific currency—known as Warps in Honkai: Star Rail. You can either earn Warps for free via the gameplay, though it can take a while, or purchase them with real money.

If you don't want to drop your cash yet, HoYoverse does provide you with 20 free Star Rail Passes to use on Standard Warps as a thank you for playing the action RPG. But there's no guarantee that you'll win that coveted five-star character or Light Cone (please come home to me, Himeko, I beg).

Is it worth rerolling in Honkai Star Rail?

The answer is no. If you don't get your desired result from the 20 rolls, you can reroll, but it's time-consuming, as you'll need to make a new Honkai: Star Rail account and play through the game again until you've completed the tutorial and prologue, which takes around 45 minutes to an hour.

And even then, the five-star character hit rate is an abysmal 0.3%. So if you do decide to make a new account and reroll your 20 free Warps, you may end up with nothing like I did when I tried going for it a second time. After which point, I admitted defeat.

From my experience, having to play the game for 40 minutes with unskippable cutscenes and clicking away to rush past it all is not worth the effort, even more so when you're guaranteed a five-star from Departure Warp Banner from the first 50 pulls.
