Horizon Call of the Mountain welcomes a new hero in Ryas

Prepare for a new adventure in the Horizon world.

The Horizon series primarily focused on Aloy in Zero Dawn and Forbidden West. However, fans of the series will get a chance to explore the world through the eyes of a new protagonist—quite literally, in the VR title Horizon: Call of the Mountain.

The PlayStation Twitter states, "Meet Ryas, Horizon Call of the Mountain’s protagonist and Carja prisoner tasked with investigating a new threat." In a blog post, Sony and Guerilla further detail Ryas' backstory and the journey players will experience in this new Horizon entry.

Ryas will give players a different perspective on the Horizon series, following his path of redemption as he seeks to make amends for his actions in the past. Ryas is a former soldier who helped kidnap Prince Itamen and has now allowed himself to be captured by the Carja. Players will follow Ryas' path as he attempts to earn his freedom and redemption.

Horizon: Call of the Mountain will debut on the PSVR2, taking advantage of the latest technology in VR to give players an exciting experience. Horizon: Call of the Mountain is just one of the projects in the works at Guerilla, so fans of the series will have even more to look forward to.
