Deep Trouble is one of the many side quests available in the early section of Horizon Forbidden West. This one is based in the Crimson Narrows, a far northern mine within the first open-world section of the game. After heading there, speak to Korvund to begin saving miners from the flooded mine.
How to free the Miners in the Crimson Narrows
After traversing the early section of the Crimson Narrows, players should overhear the two miners chatting up on a high platform that is relatively safe. Speak to the miners to continue the questline. One of the miners is wounded too badly to leave with the mine currently flooded, so players will need to release the water from the mine.
In order to do this, players will need to reach the inner part of the mine, defeat the Burrowers in the main open area, and then unplug the blockage with explosives. Aloy will need to swim through the rough flooded part of the mine in order to reach the open area. Once here, she can use the stealth mushrooms around the cave and the large pools of water to their advantage in defeating the Burrowers.

How to drain the Crimson Narrows
After defeating the Burrowers in the open area, players will need to follow the mine cart tracks up to the next passage into a further flooded area. In this area, players will need to use the pullcaster to traverse the structure and reach the minecart full of explosives. Once here, activate the explosives in order to drain the mine.
Afterward, players can either fight the Burrower and Scrapper that show up once it's been drained or they can simply escape this room. Once done, return to the miners and let them know that it is safe to leave the mine. This will complete the quest.
