To capture Survey Drones in Horizon Forbidden West, players must mount the flying machines to weigh them down. You'll need to find a way to get above these flying collectibles via traversal so that Aloy can jump on top of them.

One way to make capturing Survey Drones easier is by marking their flight track as you can with other machines. To do this, hold the R3 button to open your focus, then highlight the machine's path to see where Survey Drones it frequents.
Once you've found a Survey Drone, you'll need to loot it for its Survey Core. After you've got the Survey Core, return to the Base and plug it in by heading to the terminal directly behind GAIA. With ten separate Survey Drones populating the Forbidden West, you'll need to keep an eye out for bright blue scans that highlight the area from above when traversing this unknown landscape.
