How to fast travel in Horizon Forbidden West?

Instant transmission!

Horizon Forbidden West is set to arrive on Feb. 18, 2022, and players cannot wait to explore the massive map as Aloy. Traveling far on foot or on a machine can take a long time, but the Fast Travel mechanic helps players instantly travel between two saved locations.

Players can Fast Travel to any location on the map in Horizon Forbidden West, but you will have to visit that spot first, just like in Zero Dawn. Traveling from one Campfire to another is free, and it is ideally the better option than using a Fast Travel Pack. Press Circle to open the map and use the left analog stick to navigate to Campfire locations you have visited before. Travel to any saved Campfire sites for free by simply pressing R2.

Fast Travel Packs allow players to travel for free from any Campfire to any Campfire, Settlement, or Shelter. Players can craft Fast Travel Packs with 10 Ridge-wood and three pieces of Wild Meat. You can also purchase fast Travel Packs from Merchants for around 25 Metal Shards.

Players can use Fast Travel Packs during Quests for visiting a Settlement or Shelter multiple times. Exploring the map will automatically open more Campfire options for players to travel to. Visit these Campfires and Quick Save the game to Fast Travel to these locations later on. Ideally, save the Fast Travel Packs for completing Quests and traveling to major Settlements and Shelters.
