The compelling narrative of Horizon Forbidden West features several new characters that Aloy will come across during her expedition. Regalla is one of these new characters, who starts as an antagonist but allies with Aloy if players choose to spare her. She is a former member of the Desert Tenakth Tribe and leader of the Rebels in Horizon Forbidden West.
Regalla appears early on in Horizon Forbidden West's storyline when Aloy visits the Embassy at Barren Light. She is a barbaric warrior who earlier served Tenakth chief Hekarro. Hekarro spared her after a failed mission to make her own splinter tribe of rebels. Later on, Regalla meets up with Sylens and forms her Rebels group consisting of former Tenakth members.

While Regalla's tragic fate may seem to depend on Aloy's actions, her path inevitably leads to death. Players will have to make an important choice after defeating Regalla in the Wings Of The Ten Main Quest. Aloy can choose to spare Regalla or punish her for the crimes against the Tenakth. Choosing to end Regalla's life will reward players with the Very Rare Regalla's Wrath Sharpshot Bow.
On the other hand, sparing Regalla will make her an ally, and she will appear during the final battle to assist Aloy against the Zenith. However, Regalla will sacrifice herself against a group of Sentinel machines to create an escape for Aloy.
