How to get more Hextech Keys in League of Legends

Hextech Keys can open Hextech Chests, which contain skin shards, champion shards, and other valuable rewards. How do you get keys in League of Legends?

Event Shops

The easiest way to obtain Hextech Keys is from Event Shops. You can purchase both key fragments and full keys for Event Tokens, and they are not difficult to farm. Even if you don't own the Event Pass, you can still earn a portion of Event Tokens by completing missions. This method is both free and effortless, as you automatically earn Event Tokens by playing games.

Winning matches of Summoner's Rift

By winning matches of Summoner's Rift, you can earn key fragments over time. The amount of fragments you earn is increased with higher Honor levels, so make sure to endorse your teammates at the end of your games. There are also missions that grant you Hextech Keys, as long as you complete specific objectives on Summoner's Rift. However, these missions are relatively rare.

Purchasing keys from the shop

For 125 RP, you can purchase a single Hextech Key from the shop. If you'd prefer, you can purchase a Hextech Chest and Hextech Key set for only 70 RP more. Unfortunately, there is not a bundle of keys offered at a discounted price, but there is a bundle of five Hextech Chests and Hextech Keys for 975 RP.
