Should you swear fealty to Scherrit or resist in Lost Ark? – The Final Battle

During the Final Battle in Lost Ark, the player must choose whether to Swear Fealty to Scherrit or resist him. The offer occurs immediately after Thirain is knocked to the side in the throne room. It doesn't matter which one you choose since they both lead to a fight against Scherrit.

Swear Fealty or Resist in the Final Battle?

Resist Scherrit

If you decide to resist Scherrit when he asks you to swear loyalty, he will pose with his sword as he gets ready to cut you to pieces. He will say, "So be it… If you want to die with Thirain. I shall grant your wish." Then you will fight him.

Considering Scherrit isn't a powerful opponent, consider this option if you are trying to roleplay with your character. This one is more like a movie ending than the other option, and it feels like you're the hero.

Swear Fealty to Scherrit

It may sound like you will be able to become second in command in a great army, but it is not as it seems. Scherrit welcomes you into his army as your character walks over to him. Then your character will attack Scherrit, unappreciative of his offer, and send him flying. Scherrit is understandably angry, so you will end up fighting with him.

Even though this may seem like a big decision at the time, it ultimately means nothing. No one will remember what you did or how you did it, and it will have no lasting impact on your character.
