How to get Paint Cans in Merge Mansion

In Merge Mansion, Paint Cans are worth their weight in gold.

In Merge Mansion, Paint Cans are one of the rarest items in the game. Along with this, unfortunately, certain types of paint cans are also required to complete later levels within the game, making their rarity quite a hindrance. However, that doesn't mean they are unobtainable, so here are the ways you can acquire Paint Cans in Merge Mansion.

The best ways to acquire Paint Cans in Merge Mansion

Tool Boxes

One of the ways you can acquire Paint Cans is to pull them from Tool Boxes. However, Paint Cans are the rarest drops from Tool Boxes, with just a one-in-thirty chance of appearing. Thus, though they can and will appear occasionally, farming Paint Cans from Tool Boxes can be quite the grind. Tool Boxes are given as a starter item, out of the Fancy Blue Chest, or can be purchased from The Shop.

Blue Boxes

Moving on to a different type of box, we have Blue Boxes, which can also drop Paint Cans and do so at a better rate than Tool Boxes. However, where Tool Boxes have a chance to drop a Level Three Paint Can, Blue Boxes can only drop Level One and Two. Furthermore, the Paint Cans that appear in Blue Boxes will be covered in cobwebs that can only be removed with currency. Blue Boxes appear as a random drop from Missions.

Daily Tasks and Paint Boxes

Once you reach Level 20 in Merge Mansion, your Daily Tasks gain a chance to drop a Paint Box which, as the name implies, will reward you with Paint Cans. Specifically, the cans from the Paint Box will be between Levels Two and Four.

The Shop

Lastly, both Paint Cans and Blue Boxes can be purchased from The Shop, making it the simplest source for gathering Paint Cans. However, The Shop is Merge Mansion's in-game monetization system akin to Moonbreaker's negative monetization model. In short, unless you have stockpiled plenty of resources, you'll most likely have to fork over real money to acquire Paint Cans or anything else.

Merge Mansion's Paint Can levels, explained

The Paint Cans in Merge Mansion are separated into four levels, one through four. Each level denotes both rarities and where you are in Merge Mansion regarding progress. This is to say that Level One Paint Cans are used for early-game missions, Level Two Paint Cans are used for early- to mid-game missions, and Level Three and Four Paint Cans are used in the mid-to late-game missions. Level One through Three cans is much less predatory than Level Four cans, as typically in the late stages of the game, levels will require as many as 26 Level Four Paint Cans for completion.
