Minecraft unveils Lunar New Year Sweepstakes with epic prizes

With Minecraft Legends set for release early in 2023 and new updates to look forward to, this year is already massive for Minecraft. But Mojang has already upped the ante by unveiling the Minecraft Luna New Year Sweepstakes in a Twitter post today (January 16).

By entering and linking your Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, or Email to Gleam, you can win the chance to win a huge Minecraft Prize Package worth approximately $370 dollars that contains the following: 

• ​A Minecraft Llama Village LEGO set
• A Minecraft-themed water bottle
• A Minecraft-themed keyboard & /mouse desk pad
• A Minecraft-themed Nintendo Switch cover
• A Minecraft-themed beanbag gaming chair
• A Minecraft-themed scarf
• A Minecraft-themed lunch box
• A Minecraft Dungeons figurine pack
• A Minecraft-themed fanny/waist pouch
• A Minecraft figurine pack
• A Minecraft-themed sock pack
• A Minecraft: Ultimate Builder's Collection

While some of these prizes appear to be standard merchandise we’ve seen before, some items, like the beanbag gaming chair or the lunch box appear to be giveaway exclusive, or at least aren’t currently on sale anywhere else. As mentioned, this is a hugely high-value giveaway, and  a great way to celebrate the Lunar New Year. It may not be the traditional red envelope, but we definitely think this is just as good.

All you have to do to enter is register your name and email address, or link you Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, or Google account to Gleam. You must be 18 years of age or older to enter. Mojang also stipulates, “If you're 18 years of age or older but have not reached the age of majority in your legal place of residence, then you must have consent of a parent/legal guardian.” There’s one entry per person and just six days to enter, as it closes on January 24.
