Being a Bedrock player can sometimes feel a bit miserable. Watching Java edition players get to test out the latest snapshots as they release and enjoy all the new mobs and blocks before you. But thankful, the recently announced Minecraft Preview looks to solve many of those problems.
Minecraft Preview is a new version of the Bedrock Beta program, which was initially only on Xbox, Windows, and Android. Minecraft Preview will allow you to test out the latest features of Minecraft without affecting your current Bedrock worlds. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to import your worlds into Minecraft Preview, but Mojang wants to look into adding this feature in the future.

What features will Minecraft Preview have?
Minecraft Preview won’t feature cross-platform multiplayer, the marketplace, realms, or achievements. Almost every Bedrock platform, from iOS to Windows, will preview the latest features in Minecraft. And, you no longer have to choose between the Beta or Bedrock release version. Minecraft Preview will be included on the same version, on the same device.
Minecraft Preview will initially release to just iOS and Windows, with a view to being added to Xbox later in the year. If you’re an Xbox Insider, you’ll be able to test things out on Minecraft Preview earlier.
What’s more, Minecraft Preview will be added to the standard Windows launcher of the game, in the same way that Java edition and Bedrock edition are. Ultimately, Minecraft Preview will replace and enhance Minecraft Beta, rendering it obsolete.
