S-Tier heroes

These heroes are essential to any hero collection, and they're well-worth the effort to get. S-tier heroes have proven useful throughout the entire game, and I cannot recommend them enough.

Aidan

With great core stats and the ability to protect other heroes, Aidan is a jack-of-all-trades hero that works great with basically any hero in the game. His Default Skin will serve you all the way up to Level 40, which is a rare feat.

Martha

Martha works as both a tank and a healer in battle, and she's versatile when it comes to synergizing with other heroes. She also increases her teammates' speed and is tough to beat once she's equipped with the Masquerade Skin.

A-Tier heroes

A-tier heroes are very effective, but they have minor tradeoffs that prevent them from being S-tier. These heroes will require more resources down the road, but they're still an excellent choice with a minor start-up cost.

Andvari

Andvari works well both as an extra tank hero and a stun type, but he doesn't work great in a Hydra. To boost his stats, go for the Dark Depths Skin early-on and have him as a supporting hero in your team.

Keira

Keira is a ruthless tank buster with excellent Synergy, but her low HP makes her vulnerable to high-damage heroes. Try pairing her with Andvari or a different tank hero who can absorb some of the damage and keep her shielded.

B-Tier heroes

The heroes in this tier are decent choices that bring some decent boost to the team, but only when paired with the right partners. Otherwise, your enemy will easily exploit their weaknesses.

Fox

Belonging to the Marksman class, Fox can make enemy heroes Blind while delivering devastating blows. Her HP bar is the biggest weakness, and you'll need a tank to protect her.

Rufus

Rufus is the perfect answer to mage-based teams, serving as a tank for magic attacks and having solid Synergy. Since physical attacks are his weakness, it's best to pair him with an anti-tank hero and a physical tank for the ultimate protection.

C-Tier heroes

The definition of mediocre, C-tier characters become useful after you invest a ton of resources but are otherwise good to avoid.

Ginger

Ginger is a decent low-level Marksman with a passive bonus for Progress characters, but with low Synergy and a weakness to both physical and magic attacks, it's best to keep her in the back lines.

Astrid and Lucas

With neither good Synergy nor Hydra, this duo's saving grace is the Romantic Skin that boosts armor penetration. The special abilities take too long to charge, meaning they'll likely be defeated before using them.

D-tier heroes

Basically worthless and not worth the grind. Avoid these characters at all costs.

Kai

Kai is a hero closest to being C-tier, only due to its good Synergy with Warrior types like K’arkh. Everything else is very forgettable.

Judge

A former S-tier hero, Judge has okay Synergy but doesn't bring much to the table. Its design is cool, unlike its weak armor and its shield being able to protect only two other allies.
