Moonbreaker removes Cargo Run Contracts after fan backlash

The community has been heard.

Moonbreaker's early access launch was met with praise and criticism, but its monetization was one of the more disliked aspects. While there were many parts of this, one that upset fans was Cargo Run Contracts, a feature Unknown Worlds Entertainment has removed.

The Moonbreaker Twitter states, "We're making some changes to Cargo Run." and shared more details in their official blog. The Cargo Run mode no longer requires contracts to play, making it free and giving players unlimited access. As players could purchase Cargo Run Contracts with the premium currency, it gave the feature a pay-to-win feeling.

Removing Cargo Run Contracts is a great step toward answering community feedback and improving Moonbreaker's image. However, you may have noticed that Cargo Run will no longer reward Blanks and only Season Track experience. This means you can no longer receive the freemium currency used to buy Boosters through this mode.

We'll have to wait and see how this affects the community, but Unknown Worlds Entertainment has proven they are willing to listen to the community, so this feature may also change depending on reception.
