Best Dribble Moves in NBA 2K22

Best dribble moves!

One of the hardest choices when developing a MyPlayer is deciding what dribble moves to go with. In 2K22, some dribble moves have both ball-handling and height requirements. The best dribble moves are quick, hard to steal, throw off the opponent's defense, and put the player in a better position. Here are all of the best dribble moves with alternatives if the requirements are not met.

Dribble Style

  • Steph Curry — Speed with Ball: 85 , Height: Below 6'5"
  • Fundamental — No Requirements

Steph Curry's dribble style is a Season 2 release and is extremely fast, and keeps the ball close and near the ground. The Fundamental style is a good alternative because it is free and keeps the ball secure.

Moving Crossover

  • Jayson Tatum — Ball Handle: 75
  • LeBron James — Ball Handle: 70

Tatum's crossover covers a lot of space and is very hard to steal if timed well. It does have a bit of a delay, but the ball is always close to the ground. If you are right below 75 Ball Handle, LeBron's crossover is a good choice for the same reasons.

Moving Behind the Back

  • Kawhi Leonard — Ball Handle: 80
  • Pro — Ball Handle: 75

The Kawhi Leonard dribble is extremely effective in keeping the momentum going forward. His Behind the Back does not change direction much but puts the ball in a perfect place to keep driving. The Pro dribble is a good alternative but exposes the ball a little bit more.

Moving Stepbacks

  • Jayson Tatum — Ball Handle: 75
  • Chris Paul — Ball Handle: 75 , Height: Under 6'10"
  • Basic — No Requirements

The stepback dribble move depends on what you want to use it for. Tatum's stepback covers the most space, especially the side-step animation, but Paul's is extremely fast and can be chained together well with other moves. If you do not meet the requirements, the Basic dribble move is more effective than the default Normal.

Moving Spins

  • Nikola Jokic — Ball Handle: 75
  • Kevin Durant — Ball Handle: 75
  • Joel Embiid — Ball Handle: 70

Jokic's spin move is very secure and is executed pretty quickly. Kevin Durant's spin move is a Season 2 release and covers a ton of ground. Embiid's dribble move is a great alternative due to it being very quick and hard to read.

Moving Hesitations

  • Luka Doncic — Ball Handle: 75
  • Larry Bird — Ball Handle: 70

Luka's hesitation dribbles are well-timed and explode out of the hesi. Larry Bird's is a good alternative because it covers a lot of ground and is very hard to steal, although fairly slow.

Signature Size-Ups

  • Allen Iverson — Ball Handle: 85 , Height: Below 6'5"
  • Carmelo Anthony — Ball Handle: 70

Allen Iverson's size-up package can be used for many different uses and is great for take-offs in any direction. Anthony's package is not as fast but is perfect for effective take-offs and chaining with other dribble moves.

Signature Combos

  • Derrick Rose — Ball Handle: 80 , Height: Below 6'10"
  • Russell Westbrook — Ball Handle: 70

Both Rose and Westbrook are Season 2 releases and are very effective combos. Rose does not move very much but can be used to take off quickly. Westbrooks is more methodical and slow, but the movements can be timed for great take-offs and shot creation.

Size-Up Escape Packages

  • Trae Young — Ball Handle: 80 , Height: Below 6'10"
  • Luka Doncic — Ball Handle: 70

Trae's escape is extremely fast and covers a lot of space, which is perfect for the escape packages. Luka's requires less Ball-Handling skill but has a very quick and low to the ground dribble.
