How to play City Slam mode in NBA 2K22

Rooftop Tournament!

City Slam is a new type of game in NBA 2K22 MyCareer that features 2 vs. 2, 3 vs. 3, and 4 vs. 4 games against NBA players in The City. City Slam mode is exclusive to next-gen versions of NBA 2K22, so to play, you must go to The City rooftops and talk to Jackson Ellis. City Slam will be available when Season 3 launches on December 3rd on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.

City Slam mode is a unique City game because it is single-player, so you do not have to wait for teammates and opponents. Your MyPlayer will take on the increasingly difficult competition with chances to recruit opponents to your squad. After taking down all the competition and recruiting your ideal squad, you will enter the City Slam final tournament to earn exclusive rewards, including a championship belt for winning the entire tournament.

Fans of the classic NBA Street franchise may find similarities between the new City Slam mode and the Career in those titles. In those games, you play streetball against NBA teams and recruit new players each game. The new City Slam mode should play like a Park game, so there is a little mix of streetball with flashy dunks, passes, and dribble moves.

2K Sports has not revealed if the City Slam games will contribute to season levels, but it should since it takes place in The City. However, it is a single-player mode, and those games have not featured season-level progression.

NBA 2K22 Season 3 is going to get a little cold for the holidays. Season 3, titled: Iced Out, features holiday season rewards, new animations, new neighborhood decorations, and a whole schedule of events for MyCareer.
