Best Shooting Badges in NBA 2K23

Best Shooting Badges!

Shooting badges can drastically improve your shooting ability, and every year, shooting badges are tweaked to shake things up. In NBA 2K23, there are six new shooting badges, some have been retired, and some have gotten tweaked. The new badge tier system in NBA 2K23 also changes the strength and cost of each badge, so there is even more to consider when choosing badges.

Here are the best shooting badges overall in NBA 2K23:

Guard Up

Guard Up increases your shooting ability when not properly contested. Since NBA 2K23 implements timing into contesting shots, this will be a great badge to use as players must figure out the new feature. Guard Up is also very useful because it can activate throughout a game and keeps your opponent from being lazy in contests.

Claymore

Claymore is one of the best shooting badges for spot-up shooters and is a new badge in NBA 2K23. The badge description states that it increases shooting ability when spotting up patiently, but what does that mean? According to research by NBA 2K Labs, Claymore activates when standing still for at least two seconds, catching the ball, then shooting. Claymore only activates for three-point shots but is a must-have for spot-up shooters.

Amped

Amped is a good shooting badge that will activate pretty much all game if you are active. As long as your stamina falls below 50% before shooting, Amped will give you a shooting boost from almost anywhere on the floor. If you are a player who likes using a lot of size-ups and dribble moves to get an open jumper, investing in Amped will boost many of your shots.

Catch and Shoot

Catch and Shoot has been the bread and butter of shooters in 2K since it first was introduced as a badge. In 2K23, Catch and Shoot may not be as powerful as in previous years, but matched with other shooting badges like Claymore, Corner Specialist, and Blinders, it is still one of the best badges to have and will activate on many of your shots if you play good team ball.

Volume Shooter

Volume Shooter is always a good badge to grab, even at bronze or silver. Volume Shooter will activate after only a few shots, and if you are a go-to shooter, you can always have it active. If you are very good at hitting green lights, Green Machine may be a better pick, but for most, Volume Shooter will help more.
