Silk is an incredibly valuable resource in New World that’s essential for crafting some of the later game pieces of gear, and furnishings. As a result, it’s an item that’s highly sought after, and some of the ingredients are unfortunately a little uncommon to find in the wild.
But with a high enough level Weaving skill, and a good crafting station, you’ll easily be able to make some Silk.
How to Craft Silk in New World
Silk can be crafted at Tier 3 Loom, and requires a Weaving level of 100. It is crafted by combining Silk threads and Sateen.
Where to find Silk Threads
Silk Threads are harvested from Silkweed. You can find Silkweed in the wilderness by looking for tall green plants with small lilac flowers on them.
The best spot for Silkweed is north of Mourningdale. However as Mourningdale is a level 40+ area, it’s best to make sure you’re levelled appropriately in a combat class before venturing there.
Where to find Sateen
Sateen can be crafted from Linen and Solvent. It’s a Tier 3 cloth, and requires an appropriate Loom to craft. Fibre is available all over the world from Hemp plants. Solvent is found by looting containers, but isn’t gated by level or location.
