How to complete A Devilishly Delicious Dish in Octopath Traveler 2

In New Delsta, you will encounter various side stories, including A Devilishly Delicious Dish. In this side quest, you are tasked with retrieving a special type of meat for the Tavern Cook. But to complete this, you will need to track down a rare monster. Here is how to complete Octopath Traveler 2's A Devilishly Delicious Dish side story.

Octopath Traveler 2 A Devilishly Delicious Dish Side Story Walkthrough

After speaking to the Tavern Cook, he will lament that no customers are coming in. He thinks he can bring customers in if he spices up the menu with meat from the Delsta Devil, and mentions something about a cave. You will need to track down the Delsta Devil and bring back its meat to the cook.

Where to find the Delsta Devil in Octopath Traveler 2

Head east from New Delsta. Take the river once you reach Western Clockbank Highroad and head south. This will take you to the Sunken Maw, a Danger Level 34 dungeon. We were able to complete this quest around level 28/29, but some of the common enemies in the cave can be dangerous, so prepare to heal often.

Once inside, there are a few treasure chests you can collect. These contain various items, but you will want to collect the Shield of Serenity and Quartz Rod from the golden chests. When you have looted the three chests on the first level, head up the ladder. Grab the chest on your right and go to the shack.

Inside is an Elderly Fishing Enthusiast. Speak to him to learn about special bait, and then promptly steal or purchase the bait from him. Without this, you cannot encounter the Delsta Devil. Once you have the bait, head down the ladder and save. Then head to the right and approach the dark spot in the water. You will be prompted to use the bait and summon the Delsta Devil.

The Delsta Devil was surprisingly easy to beat. It is weak to Polearms, Daggers, Bows, and Lightning. We defeated it quickly by breaking its shields, then boosting Ochette's physical attack and using her Latent Ability. Once you defeat the Delsta Devil, you'll collect the Delsta Devil Meat. Return to the Tavern Cook. You will receive the following rewards for completing A Devilishly Delicious Dish side quest in Octopath Traveler 2.

• Master Rod
• Chef's Ladle
