Where to find the fish thief for The Fish Filcher side quest in Octopath Traveler 2

Believe it or not, the fish thief can be found in the exact same spot as the fisherman in Conning Creek Harbor. However, the thief will only appear at night, but not just anytime. Switch from day to night and wait a few minutes for the game to turn to morning.

The thief will appear by the fish on the shore. Approach the thief and knock them unconscious. We used Throné's Ambush ability. After doing this, the morning will turn to day, and the fisherman will arrive. He will chide the thief but then offer him a job. This will complete The Fish Filcher quest in Octopath Traveler 2 and reward you with the following items.

• Fortifying Nut
