The Square Enix Twitter states, "Join us NOW on @Twitch now for our livestream featuring #OctopathTraveler2 and new gameplay!" Events Manager Kathryn and Marketing Manager Donnell host the Octopath Traveler II live stream and take players through an in-depth look at the sequel running just under an hour and a half.

The stream showcases gameplay footage past the available demo and gives away codes for Octopath Traveler II and a Collector's Edition. But more importantly, fans received an exclusive look at this beautiful JRPG. Octopath Traveler II features many familiar systems and mechanics from the original Octopath Traveler but has added new ones and expanded on these.

The day and night cycle and each character's path actions were displayed, and the dual abilities seem to bring more depth to the overworld. The combat features the delightful system from the first title but is enhanced to provide more depth and strategy. Finally, the stunning 2.5D art style returns and looks better than ever.

Overall, Octopath Traveler II looks to be more of the same and more than Octopath Traveler. A new story, new characters, and so much more await returning and new fans in this highly-anticipated JRPG.
