Team Moist overtakes Team Rakin in Omega Strikers Creator vs. Event

Team Moist, led by the popular streamer and YouTuber MoistCr1TiKaL, has at last surpassed Team Rakin, the team commanded by streamer Rakin, in Omega Strikers' Creator vs. Event. Team Rakin has held first place since the start of the tournament on Sept. 18, 2022, but a new champion leads now.

Team Moist's rise to the top is likely due largely to the streamer's video, uploaded to his penguinz0 YouTube channel, asking his followers for help. The video itself was posted on Sept. 21, 2022, and since Charles White Jr. asked his fans to step in, Team Moist began rising through the ranks and now sits in 1st place on the Omega Strikers leaderboard with five days left in the Creator vs. Event tournament.

While the video certainly improved Team Moist's ranking, the emote for Cr1TiKaL's team has also brought other players to rally behind the team as well. The emote is of Cr1TiKaL's pog face, and you only have to participate in a few matches of Omega Strikers' to see the face spammed after practically any play.

With five days left, it is certainly possible that another team, likely Team Rakin who holds 2nd, or Team Comfy who holds 3rd, to rally and push through to 1st place. But if Team Moist continues this streak, their lead will quickly outpace the other teams, and MoistCr1TiKaL will receive the cash reward and in-game prizes.
