Outerplane is an exciting turn-based RPG that has caught my eye with its unique artstyle and has taken the genre by storm since its release. With many new characters hitting the roster, knowing when to reroll and how to make the most out of your initial pull is the key to having the best starting setup possible. We have compiled a character tier list and a reroll guide to help you get the best headstart and enjoy Outerplane as much as I did.

All the best Outerplane characters, ranked

We compiled this Outerplane Character tier list based on the overall usefulness of characters across all classes, measuring their performance across the game modes. Like every other gacha game, I found that the best and most effective characters are the rarest ones, so make sure to grab any new Outerplane codes that might appear to get an additional edge.

Best S Tier Outerplane characters

Valentine

Valentine fits easily into the S Tier, being one of the most useful Outerplane characters across the board. Her crit and crit damage buffs provide boosts for her entire team, making her an absolute must-have character for both PvP and PvE game modes.

Veronica

Another must-have top-tier character is Veronica. She holds her top spot firmly due to the significant damage reduction she provides to her allies. She is easily the best tank in the game, granting a barrier to an ally with the lowest health and dispelling debuffs from the caster providing defensive benefits for her team. She can also activate dual attacks for allies, making your damage dealers more effective.

Best A Tier Outerplane characters

Cindy

Cindy is an excellent addition to almost any team composition. She works especially well with Valentine on a team. She can provide ATK and Accuracy boost to your team across the board. To complement her support role further, her AoE Strike provides excellent support, and she can even increase the duration of buff for allies.

Dolly

Dolly is an excellent mage choice as she has the capability of silencing the enemies for almost the entire duration of the battle. She is indispensable in Tower mode, providing damage mitigation for your team via debuffs.

B Tier Outerplane characters

Adelie

Adelie has string wave clearing capabilities with her AoE-based damage output. She is a Striker that deals exceptionally well in Adventure but not so well in other modes, which puts her firmly in this Tier section.

Beth

Beth is a Striker that casts an AoE strike with the chance to inflict a bleed effect onto enemies, making her useful for Tower mode. Otherwise, she falls pretty flat, being average to low-tier in other game modes.

C Tier Outerplane characters

Fenrir

Fenrir is a Striker-type character bringing the fire element to the table. Her defining characteristic is that she increases the damage dealt to enemies that have a barrier up. Otherwise, she's pretty unimpressive, with flat character stats across the board.

Parti

Parti is a Striker type of character with the Fire element. She provides attacks that have a chance to inflict a burn status on enemies, also increasing the caster's accuracy. The burn status also creates stacks on its procs, and she also has the ability to detonate all burned stacks on command.

D Tier Outerplane characters

Guizam

Guizam possesses a Fire element to go with her Striker class. Her ability lies in her AoE strikes that can inflict bleeding damage on her enemies. Her overall damage output is fairly low, earning her a spot at the bottom of the barrel in this list.

Orox

Orox is a Striker empowered by the Earth element. His abilities lie in the AoE damage that has a chance to increase the caster’s resilience to enemy attacks. His kit is so bad and underperforming that you should avoid this character at all costs.

Outerplane Reroll guide

Rerolling in Outerplane is fairly straightforward; follow the steps below:

  • Launch Outerplane on your device.
  • Log in with a guest account.
  • Complete the tutorial level that introduces you to the game.
  • Go into Settings and clear your save data, then start the game again if your pull didn't produce the characters you wanted.
