Since the Overwatch League is officially over, Blizzard is giving players one last chance to pick up the cosmetics released for it. I'll review all of the Legendary skins, the Overwatch League Team skins, and when skin bundles will be available.
All Overwatch League Bundles
Three Legendary Overwatch League Skin bundles are available in September and October 2024. They're priced at 5600 Overwatch Coins, which is calculated as a 30% discount according to the Overwatch Store.
- The All-Stars Unvault Bundle contains All-Star D.VA, All-Star Lucio, All-Star Mercy, and All-Star Reinhardt. It is available from September 10 to September 24.
- The Overwatch League Legends Mega Bundle features All-Star Genji, All-Star Tracer, Good and Evil Echo, and Zen-Nakji Zenyatta. It will be available for purchase between October 1 and October 8.
- The final bundle is the Overwatch League 2022 Tournament Bundle with Clockwork Zenyatta, Happi Genji, Luchador Reaper, and Royal Knight Mercy. You'll find this bundle in the Overwatch shop between October 8 and October 15.
In addition to these bundles, there are several that can be purchased in the Overwatch League shop using Overwatch League tokens. While this shop will remain open until December 2025, you'll only be able to purchase OWL Tokens until December 9, 2024. Each bundle will cost 1,200 OWL Tokens.
- The Overwatch League Champions Bundle features Chained King Reaper, Flying Ace Winston, Midas Roadhog, Thunder Doomfist, and Zhulong Sombra.
- The OWL 2023 Tournament Winners Bundle contains Charged Climber Zarya, Reigning Climber Zarya, Wicked Reign Moira, Fuel Biker:76, and Mayhem Biker:76.
- The Owl 2022 Tournament Winners Bundle has Dallas Summer Genji, Shanghai Summer Genji, Royal Gladiator Mercy, Lion Luchador Reaper, and Tiger Luchador Reaper.
Some of the Legendary OWL skins will be sold for 300 OWL Tokens each in the Overwatch League shop. Additionally, you'll be able to purchase skins representing the Overwatch League, Overwatch League Contenders, and all of the Overwatch League teams in the same store.
All Overwatch League Legendary Skins
This list organizes all of the special Overwatch League Legendary skins in alphabetical order based on character. Not all of these skins will be available in the shop at once, so check back as it refreshes to pick up your favorites.
Ana - Haroeris
I have mixed feelings about this Ana skin. It takes inspiration from Haroeris, an Egyption sky god whose eyes function as the sun and moon. To replicate this effect, Ana's right eye glows red like the sun while her left eye remains normal. She also is wearing a golden helmet and has bird-like feet. This skin is very fitting due to Ana's Egyptian heritage, and one I'm particularly grateful for since she did not get a skin in the Season 12 battle pass. Despite this, I will likely pass on Haroeris since I am lucky enough to own Ana's Bastet and Spiritwarder skins, which I much prefer to this one.
Bastion - Pirate Ship
I was a big fan of the pirate ship comp in Overwatch 1, so a pirate-themed Bastion skin just feels right to me. I love that two pirate flags are displayed on either side of him when he is in turret form. The fact that Ganymede has turned into a parrot only makes the skin better. This is one of my top two Bastion skins, second only to his Overgrown skin.
Brigitte - Goat
This Brigitte skin is cuter than cute! If you weren't an Overwatch fan during Overwatch 1, then you may not know about the GOATS Meta. This Meta popularized a team comp made up of three supports, which Brigitte was always a part of, and three tanks. This past Meta makes Brigitte the perfect character to receive a goat-themed skin. Older players will appreciate the pun while newer players can enjoy the beauty of the skin as it is. Her purple hair would make her a great match with the All-Stars Mercy skin if you've got the right comp to pull that duo off.
Doomfist - Thunder
Thunder Doomfist was an Overwatch League skin released in March 2020 to celebrate the San Francisco Shock's victory in the 2019 season of the tournament. The symbol on his belt is the initials of the Shock while the pattern on his head is meant to represent a shockwave. While you cannot see it in the photo, his seismic slam will imprint the Shock's initials into the ground as well. I find that the monstrous qualities of his face and limbs in this skin make his strength seem otherworldly.
D.VA - Pacific All-Stars
The All-Stars skin line is my favorite among all the Overwatch League skins. The Pacific All-Stars DVA version gives Atlantean vibes in its brilliant blue and white hues, brightly colored eyes, and swirling imagery. It would match well with the recent lifeguard skin line, Tracer's All-Star skin, and even Genji's Summer Dallas skin.
Echo - Good and Evil
Echo's Good and Evil skin was the 2020 Overwatch League MVP Legendary skin. It was created for DPS player Fleta from the Shanghai Dragons. As the name implies, the skin is split between a "good half" with an angelic aesthetic and a "bad half" with demonic motifs. I thoroughly enjoy the split aesthetics of the skin and how unique the concept and execution are from most single-themed Overwatch skins. However, I will admit that when I first saw the skin, it reminded me of Sun and Moon from Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach. If you're a FNAF fan who enjoys playing Overwatch, this skin could feel like the collaborative skin we may never get.
Genji - All-Stars
The Pacific All-Stars Genji is from 2018 and has a tropical volcano look that perfectly contrasts with the Tracer skin it was released with. His skin's color makes him appear to be filled with lava and fire emits from the back of his head as if it were his hair. If you're a Genji main looking for something new and unique, I recommend this skin.
Genji - Dallas Summer
This is the Happi Genji skin with a Dallas Fuel Twist. It features a younger version of Genji in a summer getup matching the blue and white color palette of the Dallas Fuel. If you're a fan of the team or just prefer Genji in blue, this is the Happi variation to go for. As a bonus, it would mesh well with any of the lifeguard skins and the D.VA and Tracer All-Stars skins.
Genji - Happi
Happi Genji was released as part of the Overwatch League's 2022 Summer Showdown. This skin ages Genji down to his younger years and gives him a summery, beachy vibe complete with a towel around his neck and an unbuttoned shirt. It's even more special because it is one of the few skins to show Genji's face while remaining true to his character design.
Genji - Shanghai Summer
Shanghai Summer Genji is the third Genji in this summery skin trio. Like the Dallas version, this Shanghai variation is a recolor of the original Happi skin for the Shanghai Dragons team. His red and black color scheme is reminiscent of a blazing summer heat in contrast to the Happi skin's relaxing summer vibe.
Lucio - Pacific All-Stars
The Pacific All-Stars Lucio was the counterpart to the Mercy Atlantic All-Stars skin released in 2019. His skin's white and gold color palette of the skin, in combination with the sun-like emblem on Lucio's forehead, makes the theming feel celestial. This is further emphasized by the golden "wings" on Lucio's boots and the cloth draped across his waist.
Mei - MM-Mei
MM-Mei was released for the Overwatch League's May Melee in 2021. While her name is pretty punny, there is a lot of controversy around the appearance of this skin, most notably the cornrows in her hair. Mei has plenty of super cute skins without the added controversy or cost, so this is one skin best left in the past.
Mercy - Atlantic All-Stars
This Mercy was released in 2019 alongside the All-Stars Pacific Lucio skin. Her purple and blue color scheme makes her feel celestial while her styled pastel purple hair and crown give off a mermaid aesthetic. The blue symbol on her crown is a moon. It contrasts well with the sun symbol and bright coloring of Lucio's All-Star Skin. If you play in a support duo, this set of skins would go together well.
Mercy - Royal Gladiator
The Royal Gladiator Mercy skin is a recolored variant of Mercy's Royal Knight skin. It takes on a purple and black color scheme to celebrate the LA Gladiators team. Likewise, all of the skin's crests have been changed to feature the LA Gladiator's symbols instead of lions.
Mercy - Royal Knight
Mercy's Royal Knight skin was released in the summer of 2022 before Overwatch 2 officially came out. She takes the Royal Knight's name sincerely, wearing a helmet, sections of chainmail, and having her staff look like a medieval weapon. Additionally, she has red-and-white crests scattered across her outfit. This includes a flag on her staff, one on her back, and several small red-and-white symbols on her wings.
Moira - Wicked
Moira's Wicked skin gives her the look of a fairytale villainess. She is dressed head to toe in black with a spiky crown and dark makeup to match. The inclusion of red roses on her back and arms gives off the impression that she is the thorn hidden lurking beneath the rose's red petals. If you want to become the Evil Queen herself, spend your tokens on this skin.
Moira - Wicked Reign
This Moira Skin is a variation of the Wicked Moira skin in the colors of the Atlanta Reign team. While most of the design is identical to the original version, the Atlanta Reign symbol has been added to her sleeves. Additionally, the skull on the back of her right hand was replaced by a decorative metal plate. The theming isn't very prominent so non-Reign fans can enjoy the skin.
Reaper - Chained King
Chained King Reaper was the celebratory skin released for the Dallas Fuel's victory in the 2022 Overwatch League Championship. He is covered in blowing glue symbols and blue flames emitting from the horns in his eyes, the gem on his chest, and a few other places. Likewise, his cloak has patterns of small blue runes at its edges. The skin's Dallas Fuel origins are not prominent, making it perfect for fans who want something with a dark fantasy aesthetic.
Reaper - Luchador
Reaper becomes a professional wrestler with this Luchador skin. His color palette uses gold, white, and black to give him a dramatic look. Several skulls are included in his design, serving as references to both the Day of the Dead and Reaper's traditional design. If you want to stick strictly to the Luchador theming or just aren't a fan of team skins, go for this one. However, if you just want visually appealing skin I would recommend checking out Reaper's Tiger Luchador before buying this one.
Reaper - Lion Luchador
This is the LA Gladiators version of Reaper's Luchador skin. It keeps black as the main color while making purple the secondary color and adding the Gladiators' symbol where the skulls originally were. Unless you're a fan of the Gladiators or are really into purple, I find the other skins in the set more aw-inspiring.
Reaper - Tiger Luchador
Tiger Luchador is a variation of Reaper's original Luchador skin. It was altered to fit the Seoul Dynasty team's aesthetic, changing the color palette to one that is mainly black, yellow, and gold. Additionally, the skull symbols around Reaper's costume have been replaced with the Seoul Dynasty's tiger logo. This is my personal favorite of the three Luchador skins because of its luxurious color palette and imposing feel.
Reinhardt - All-Stars
The Reinhardt Atlantic All-Stars skin was released in 2020 alongside DVA's pacific skin. His bluish skin tone makes him feel like an aquatic creature, but the rest of him is designed to feel very foresty. The symbol on his chest is a large tree and tree roots are curled around various parts of his body. The enchanted forest aesthetic he gives off makes him one of the best Reinhardt skins in my book. If you want to match skins with your group, I recommend pairing him with Venus Moira, Overgrown Bastion, or Dryad Widowmaker.
Roadhog - Midas
There's no need to spend coins on a Gold Weapon with this skin. Midas Roadhog celebrates the San Francisco Shock's victory in the 2020 Grand Finals; his golden helmet and hook emit yellow flames and his stomach depicts the Shock's logo for all to see. The flames and the unique horns at the top of his head give this Roadhog skin a draconic vibe that puts it a step above most of his other skins. Named after the myth of King Midas, this skin relishes all things gold.
Soldier 76 - Biker: 76
Soldier: 76 is one of the older characters in the game, making this retro biker skin very fitting. It's black leather jacket and hair pulled back with a headband make it feel very true to old-school depictions of Bikers. While there are two variations of this skin below, the original is undoubtedly the prettiest. It's timeless color scheme will always feel cool and authentic to all who see it.
Soldier 76 - Fuel Biker: 76
This is the Dallas Fuel variation of the Biker: 76 skin. The Blonde hair remains the same, but the rest of the outfit takes on a few shades of blue to reflect the Fuel's colors. Soldier's t-shirt and bandana are also changed to include the Fuel's name and symbol. This is the only Soldier Biker skin with a colored leather jacket, which leaves me preferring the other two over it.
Soldier 76 - Mayhem Biker: 76
Mayhem Biker: 76 is the Florida Mayhem's version of the original Biker: 76 skin. If you like the appeal of the first skin but want a little more color, this is the way to go. Soldier's gloves, shoes, shirt, and elements of his jacket take on the hot pink color the Florida Mayhem is known for. At the same time, his bandana and jeans become a brighter blue to reflect the secondary color in the Florida Mayhem palette. It's a great combination that adds a funkier twist to the skin's original aesthetic.
Sombra - Zhulong
While I'm mainly a support player, this Zhulong Sombra skin is my favorite on the list. Sombra's horned helmet, red and gold color scheme, and scaly details make her aptly feel like a powerful dragon waiting to swoop in on unsuspecting Zenyattas. This theming fits the Shanghai Dragons team, whose 2021 championship victory the skin was created for. Her unique helmet and outfit make this Sombra skin rightfully the best so far.
Tracer - All-Stars
Tracer has a lot of unique skins and her All-Stars form is no exception. It was released in 2018 as the companion to Genji's All-Star skin, although I find it to mesh more with DVA's All-Star skin from 2020. Her chronal accelerator now looks like a shell. This, in combination with her watery hair, blue lips, and scaly elements, gives her an Atlantean appearance.
Widowmaker - Ange De La Mort
The phrase Ange De La Mort is French for "Angel of Death", a fitting name for Widowmaker. This skin comes with a slightly ragged dress and a long pointed hood reminiscent of the Grim Reaper. Widow's weapon and outfit have skull motifs scattered around to emphasize her deadliness. This combines with Widowmaker's red eyes to give her a deadly, untouchable aura.
Winston - Flying Ace
As you may be able to tell from his orange and blue color scheme, this Winston skin was made in honor of the London Spitfire's victory in 2019. He takes on an old-school airplane vibe complete with a safety vest, goggles, and two retro airplanes on his back. Whether you're a seasoned traveler or just starting to take to the skies as Winston, this vibrant skin is one to watch for.
Zarya - Charged Climber
This skin is the Guangzhou Charge version of Zarya's Rock Climber skin. The skin keeps her vibrant pink hair but swaps up the colors of the outfit for the Charge's teal colors. To be honest, this is one of the few Overwatch League skins that just doesn't impress me. The colors are nice and fitting for Zarya, but the simple design doesn't feel worth the money the skin costs.
Zarya - Reigning Climber
Like the previous skin, this is a variation of Zarya's Rock Climber skin. I do like this one more than the previous version mainly because of the more interesting logo. However, it still doesn't feel worth the money compared to the rest of the OWL Legendary skins.
Zarya - Rock Climber
This is the skin that the Charged and Reigning Climber skins were based on. This skin has a nice color palette and fits its theming very well. Sadly, like its variations, it isn't that awe-inspiring. If I was going to spend time watching Overwatch to get coins for free or buy them outright, I'd prefer to use my coins on more unique and beautiful skins like Zhulong Sombra.
Zenyatta - Clockwork
The Clockwork Zenyatta skin was released for the Overwatch League in 2022. His outfit has gear motifs spread around it, most notably on his knees and in the center of his torso. You'll also notice that his orbs all have infinity symbols to enhance the theme. He truly feels like the embodiment of Chronos in an Overwatch-sized package. I enjoy this skin, but I'm not sure if it beats my favorite Ra Zenyatta skin.
Zenyatta - Zen-Nakji
Zenyatta's Zen-Nakji skin was created for the 2018 Overwatch League MVP, JjoNak. It transforms Zenyatta's head into an aquatic helmet containing an octopus. All of his orbs are made of octopi surrounding blue spheres while the rest of his skin takes on a navy and red color palette. If you enjoy using Zenyatta's Cultist skin, you'll like this one.
All Overwatch League Team Skins
Every Overwatch character has a skin for each team in the game, plus a general skin for the Overwatch League and the Overwatch Contenders. Each skin comes with a home and an away version you can swap between as you please. Additionally, each team has its own version of the Pride Reinhardt skin. I'll showcase the appearance of each team's skins using the Pride Reinhardt skin and their version of Ashe.
