How to get Swamp Coral in Pacific Drive (Map)

A beautiful flower amidst the swamp!

Swamp Coral is an essential resource to harvest if you want to craft an inventory expansion or better protective gear. However, it can only be found in specific junctions on the map and using one of your handy tools. Here's how!

Pacific Drive Where to get Swamp Coral

Swamp Coral, unlike some resources, is not found within storage containers. Instead, you must harvest it at the junction on a particular growth—a Neon Reef.

Neon Reefs are only found in swampy junctions on the map, particularly in The Mires. The Mires are the locations with the blue, watery icons (as shown above). These junctions have swamp ponds where the Neon Reefs grow.

Once you travel to one of those junctions, look on your ARC Device map to see where there are bodies of water. Head to those spots to look for Neon Reefs nearby. They will be glowing pink to help you locate them more easily.

Swamp Coral can be individually harvested with your hands off the Neon Reef growth. However, the best way to harvest them is to use a Vacuum. This can be either a Hand-Vac or a Thermal Vac. You can make a regular Hand-Vac after unlocking the blueprint from the Fabrication Station and using the following materials:

  • Plastic x4
  • Rubber x4
  • Pressurized Cartridges x2
  • Electronics x1

Using the vacuum, you can harvest all pieces of the Swamp Coral at once rather than taking off one piece at a time with your hands. You'll want to stay stocked up on this to craft some essential upgrades for yourself, like a larger backpack space and protective gear so that when you're on foot, you don't take as much radiation damage.
