While a map is useful to find resources, some of them won't actually show up. The easiest way to do this is by unlocking a specific car upgrade at the Fabricator. Check out how to get the Resource Radar in Pacific Drive below.
How to unlock the Resource Radar in Pacific Drive
It can be tough to locate resources at a junction, especially if Anomalies are chasing you and the Conditions are less than ideal. You'll want to get a tool that will help you find the exact materials you need.

To get the Resource Radar, you have to go to the Utility tab on the Fabricator. First, you have to unlock the LIMPulse Emitter before you can get to the Radar. Check out the requirements to unlock this Car upgrade.
Pre-requisites | Crafting Materials | Energy |
---|---|---|
- Unlock LIMPulse Emitter - Basic Workbench - Unlock a Roof Rack - Research Circuit Board | - Scrap Metal x6 - Plastic x3 - 9v Battery x4 - Circuit Board x1 | Stable Energy |
Once you have it, you can place it on top of your car and head out to look for materials. To activate it, you will first have to equip it as an ability on the ability screen to the left of the wheel. You can equip it to one of four slots. If they are all full, replace the one which you use the least.
The Resource Radar will drain your car battery every time you use it, so make sure to have an extra source of power, like a Solar Panel. Once you utilize it, you will see on your screen all resources that are in the range of the Radar. The device will then go on cooldown for a few seconds before you can use it again.
This upgrade is beneficial as it specifically lets you know what you can find in a junction. Be sure to use this ability during conditions like Heavy Fog or Eerie Darkness, as it will give you a better grasp of where everything is. It definitely lowers the tension of being unable to see far ahead. You'll be able to locate:
- Backpacks for Fabric
- ARDA Investigators with a lot of excellent materials
- Twisted Ember with Tree Candy
- Sap Compressor for Thermosap Crystals, etc.
