How to get Tree Candy in Pacific Drive

The name Tree Candy is very misleading, it doesn't look edible at all.

One of the most important materials you can get in the game is Tree Candy, as you will use it to unlock a Junction Bypass as well as to make Carbonfiberglass. Here's how to get Tree Candy in Pacific Drive.

Where to find Tree Candy in Pacific Drive

Tree Candy is a very useful crafting material in the game. For starters, it is needed to unlock the Junction Bypass, which lets you skip certain junctions on your route. Check out where to find Tree Candy in Pacific Drive below.

To find the Tree Candy, you will have to go to one specific area of the map, and that is The Scorch. This is an area of the mid-zone, so be prepared for some more dangerous Anomalies to show up. I've encountered Rotten Eggs and Belching Barnacles a lot in this area, which can be quite annoying with their acid damage. Equip your car with Anti-corrosive body parts to reduce it.

You can find the Tree around Sap Compressors, which hold Thermosap Crystals. It's easier to look out for them since they glow a very bright red, and you'll be able to see them from a distance. Once you spot them, look around to find Twisted Ember, as you can see in the image below.

To collect them from this twisted tree, you will need to bring a Hand Vac with you or a Thermal Vacuum if you have unlock that upgrade. With these tools, you'll be able to collect quite a bit of Tree Candy.

If you don't want to go all the way to the Scorch, you can also get Tree Candy another way, but this one is more complicated. First, you'll need to find the Pacemaker, which is present in the outer zone of the wall as well.

If you have the Pacemaker scanned, you can check all Junctions and Anomalies on the map in the Garage to see if it appears anywhere. Before you get to the Pacemaker, make sure to go there with a lot of Plasma prepared. When you give it to the Anomaly, you will get a Tree Candy in return.
