Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous is the next big installment in the Pathfinder series, following Pathfinder: Kingmaker. This time around, players take control of a crusade to wipe the world of demons and a group of heroes who gain mythical powers.

Players will complete quests while also managing a crusade in an excellent mix of both strategy and real-time with pause CRPGS. There are also several classes with different archetypes and tons of companions for players to romance and meet to build the perfect RPG party.

Overall, Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous is the perfect CRPG for those who yearn for the days of Baldur's Gate one and two. It's also constantly being updated with fixes to improve the game, and below you will find only the most recent patch notes for the game.

Update 1.3.7b Patch Notes July 14

Quests

  • One of the conditions for the secret ending didn't work correctly in a certain case:  – fixed.

Areas

  • A scripted opening of the gate in Blackwater didn't always trigger properly – fixed;
  • Forn Autumn Haze could stay in Drezen even after his death – fixed;
  • Using one of the portals in the Middle City of Alushinyrra could lead to a character getting stuck – fixed.

Crusade

  • Wenduag could participate in the crusade council meetings during chapter 3 from behind the zone borders – fixed.

Classes & Mechanics

  • Animal Focus — Mouse now properly gives evasion to animal companion;
  • Desna's Bell Toll, Desna's Lullaby Harp, Tree's Friend buffs no longer apply to all the companions;
  • Extra Mythic Ability mythic feat didn't allow choosing Thundering Blows – fixed;
  • Fixed the incorrect appliance of Cookie For a Song buff while resting on the Azata Island;
  • Fixed the incorrect duration of all resting buffs from Azata Island;
  • Ghouls are now fully undead;
  • Glitterdust and Starlight spells now suppress Greater Invisibility;
  • Inspire Rage didn't share the Scent rage power with the nearby allies – fixed;
  • Inspired Rage deactivated with a delay if an ally decided to deactivate it – fixed;
  • Now Regill continues his auto level up after level 18, stubbornly meeting the blows of fate;
  • Now, the skeleton fighter will be able to choose a weapon training group;
  • Order of the Star cavalier's Calling now works as intended and allows you to choose its bonus;
  • Skald is now able to select wizard, cleric, and druid secrets when choosing the Loremaster prestige class;
  • Thassilonian specialists now have a Dismiss spell cantrip for area spells, and it works in old saves and for all schools;
  • The DC for most mythic abilities now is 10 + half character level + mythic rank + max ability modifier;
  • The Echolocation spell didn't allow to ignore Mirror Image – fixed;
  • The Negative Energy Mastery ability now works correctly with the Kinetic Blade;
  • The Wracking Ray spell now deals the correct amount of ability damage;
  • Touch of Glory now works as intended;
  • Vulpine Pounce now properly gives the pounce;
  • The Sold Youth debuff description was updated.

Items

  • A new meal recipe for the Inevitable Excess DLC was missing; now it can be found in the chest with all other recipes near the Threshold entrance;
  • Ambrosial Attire of Arcane Annihilation will be equipped into the shirt slot now;
  • Battle Mage's Headband now grants intelligence bonus instead of wisdom;
  • Clemency of Shadows used to summon a spider when the character was invisible – fixed;
  • Embrace of the Faceless now works as it should and also works with Selective Metamagic;
  • Finger of the Heiress heavy pick now works as intended;
  • Gloves of Resourceful Magus now work with Eldritch Scion Magus Archetype;
  • Happy Traveler's Shirt now works only in combat;
  • Magician's Ring will no longer have duplicates;
  • Ring of Sacred Touch now works correctly with touch healing spells;
  • Robe of Order now works according to its description;
  • Singing Steel Breastplate now counts as light armor for armor proficiencies and speeds up Bard and Skald perfomances;
  • The Bound of Possibility now works correctly for the Angel mythic path;
  • The Exquisite Chain Barding armor now grants +2 dexterity bonus;
  • The Lizard Tail belt now correctly adds AC to companions and animal companions;
  • The Whistling Killer dart now works according to its description.

Misc

  • Sometimes you couldn't see in the description where you found an item – fixed;
  • Animal companion sometimes moved at the wrong angle – fixed;
  • Goggles of Pure Sight now suit the elves properly.

Update 1.2.0e BETA Patch Notes January 27

Highlights:

  • Beer Elementals and Lager Beer Elementals finally look like beer!
  • Aivu’s caster level has been reduced, but she can now wear bardings instead;
  • Reworked Aivu's Frightful Presence ability so that it can be now activated and deactivated;
  • Changed the visual of Mythic Aeon after the full transformation;
  • Fixed the issue which prevented the Masterful Dispel achievement from unlocking.

The patch also includes numerous tweaks and fixes for the crusade, various mythic paths and other aspects of the game (see below).

Known issues:

  • The beta version doesn’t include some free DLC functionality and pre-order items;
  • The beta version is not available on macOS;
  • When creating a new character, the character’s model is missing for now;
  • After entering some locations in Drezen with their skeletal companion, Lich won't be able to exit - fix is coming soon.

Please back up your saves if you want to participate in beta, because the saves you make in version 1.2 may not be compatible with version 1.1.

Quests

  • Fixed inability to complete the quest "By the Will of the Stars" if you pick up the mysterious message from under the stone and leave the location without ambushing;
  • The dialogue with the final boss in The Secrets of Creation quest wasn't working - fixed;
  • A dialogue near the Sword of Valor in Iz could sometimes cut off before it was supposed to - fixed;
  • A quarrel with Zacharius didn't always make him hostile - fixed;
  • Added reactivity to the dialogue with Cessily if the player is a follower of Sarenrae;
  • Anevia could come to the Commander to report the situation in Wintersun while being dead. Fixed - now dead Anevia will no longer walk;
  • Arueshalae, after rejecting the path of redemption, and becoming Evilrue, won't be refusing intimacy with a player on the path of a lich until they complete the mythic transformation;
  • Baphomet (or his statue, to be more precise) sometimes assumed that you were following the Devil mythic path, even when you were not - turns out it wasn’t all about his traumatic past with Asmodeus after all;
  • Berenguer could mention the rescue of Lariel before the player got to actually rescue the angel - fixed;
  • Changed the appearance of the ghost which helps the Demon escape from prison in chapter 3;
  • During the final scene at Threshold, an Angel could see both Katair and Eliandra, regardless of your previous choices - fixed;
  • During the hellknights' tribunal, Regill did not blame the Commander for accepting Nocticula's Profane Gift, as well as the attempt to befriend Baphomet. We had to remind him, so he will now have a serious talk with you;
  • Final romantic event with Wenduag didn't start, if she was previously removed from the active party - fixed;
  • Fixed an issue, which prevented Staunton from appearing in Drezen for Aeon;
  • Fixed the Fearless Flirt quest with Jeocot, and now a scene with him will work correctly at the Fleshmarkets;
  • Herald refused to talk to the angel character in Nexus if the Commander previously told him not to interfere in the conversation - fixed;
  • During the On Hope's Wings quest, objective "Find and save Targona" was marked as failed even if completed - fixed;
  • In rare cases, the quest Dragon's Awakening might not start at the right moment - fixed;
  • In Sarzaksis' dialogue some of Arueshalae's lines were labeled as Sarzakys' Interpreter's lines - fixed;
  • In the fifth chapter, on the Legend path, Targona had Aivu's lines instead of her own - fixed;
  • Irabeth had a wrong alignment, and wasn't prepared for a march on Iz - fixed;
  • It was possible to find the clapper of the bell in Green Gates even if you refused Arueshalae's help - fixed;
  • It was possible to send Berenguer to a dangerous mission in Alushinyrra once more - fixed;
  • It's now possible to kill Arueshalae without further ado in Green Gates, if you threatened her earlier;
  • Killing Daeran during One Final Breath didn't end a romance with him, which affected the Lich mythic path - fixed;
  • Mielarah could still charge you the full price, even if you agreed on a discount - fixed;
  • Minor fixes for the dialogue with Deskari in Iz for Swarm-That-Walks;
  • Minor improvements in a dialogue with Shamira in chapter 4;
  • Peacefully solving the conflict in Chilly Creek in the final dialogue now gives experience points;
  • Sometimes when changing mythic paths in Chapter 5, former Lich still had access to the Ziggurat - fixed;
  • Sosiel will stop asking Wirlong Black Mask about his brother, if you already found his brother on the arena;
  • Sosiel's companion quest wouldn't complete after speaking with the impostor for the second time - fixed;
  • Targona could die in combat while searching for a portal to the lair of Echo of Deskari (quest "Devastation"), which made the further progression of the angelic mythic path impossible - fixed;
  • The quartermaster will now leave the commander, who stepped on the path of Swarm-That-Walks in chapter 5;
  • Improved the scene of Trickster turning Vellexia into a mirror;
  • In Leper's Smile you can now use more spells to heal the blind halfling;
  • Now it's possible to mention the information from Lexicon of Paradox while rolling the checks in the dialogue with Iomedae, Nocticula and Areelu in chapter 5. Additionally, reading two halves of the Lexicon now provides bonuses;
  • Second Lann's quest could end incorrectly, if a dead Wenduag was present in the group - fixed;
  • Sometimes the Spiritual Bonds quest didn't start - fixed.

Areas

  • Added a mark on the map to show where the Alushinyrra's assassin guild is located (the place you need to visit during Greybor's quest);
  • Brawlers in Alushinyrra Lower City stopped fighting, when the player left, and didn't resume the fight afterwards - fixed;
  • During Drezen siege, players could enter the citadel through enter point on top of the tower - fixed;
  • Fixed an issue in Blackwater, which allowed to loot a container with a bomb before coming up the stairs;
  • Fixed and optimized the lighting in a number of locations within the Enigma;
  • Fixed bug with the absence of drops on the ground when it rains;
  • Fixed incorrect camera angle when entering Pulura's Fall from the global map;
  • Fixed problems with the portal in the Upper City of Alushinyrra hidden behind the barrier (under certain conditions it was impossible to remove the barrier blocking it);
  • Fixed the camera movement in the final cutscene in Nexus;
  • Fixed the floating candle effects in Heaven's Edge;
  • Fixed the issue with infinite skill checks to assemble the Helm of Psionic Protection via the computer in Blackwater;
  • Fixed the lighting in Drezen's tavern;
  • Fixed the passability in Areelu's Laboratory;
  • Fixed the passability issues in Alushinyrra Upper City (and a certain chest has become easier to access);
  • Fixed the wrong text when inspecting a dragon scale in Dragon Burial Ground;
  • Improve the scene of Yaniel's murder in Midnight Fane;
  • Improved the behavior of salamanders in Alushinyrra's Lower City;
  • Improved the fire effects when returning to Drezen;
  • Improved the navigation on the map of Kenabres;
  • Improved the passability of Alushinyrra brothel;
  • Improved the placement of enemies in Colyphyr Mines - demons now respect each other's personal space;
  • Improved the scene of teleportation for Morevet Honeyed Tongue;
  • In Alushinyrra brothel it was possible to pick Morevet after killing her - fixed;
  • In Iz, when transitioning from indoors to the wall outside, part of the group could end up above the wall - fixed;
  • In Midnight Fane it was possible to get 2 keys from the priestess of Nocticula - fixed;
  • In some areas of the Colyphyr Mines one could see through walls - fixed;
  • It was possible to miss an encounter with daring slavers in Alushinyrra Lower City - fixed;
  • It's no longer possible to exit the Lair of the Spinner of Nightmares until you finish your business there;
  • Minor improvements in the dialogue with the cultists in the Ten Thousand Delights;
  • Minor visual improvements in Alushinyrra Middle City;
  • One of the rare scenarios in Temple of the Good Hunt for the Lich mythic path worked incorrectly - fixed;
  • Participants of two cut-scenes in the Valley of Temples now dismount during these cut-scenes;
  • Portraits and names of Nocticula and Iomedae are now being displayed correctly in the dialogue on the first floor of Threshold fortress;
  • Removed a duplicating narrative text on a picture with a dragon at Dragon Burial Ground;
  • Slaves at Fleshmarkets had loot - fixed;
  • Sleeping giant in Ashen Grotto sometimes would initiate a combat and get back to sleep right away - fixed;
  • Sometimes the unlucky tiefling at Kenabres Market Square could get stuck under rubble twice - fixed;
  • Sosiel now plays cards in the cemetery more often. We do not blame the desire to escape from the hardships of the Fifth Crusade, though;
  • The Ashen Grotto area now has proper terrain settings;
  • The borders of the level geometry were visible in the fog under the Ivory Sanctum area - fixed;
  • The exit has been marked on the local map of the Lair of the Spinner of Nightmares area;
  • The name of the final Enigma location was missing - fixed;
  • The possibility to block the doors in the Midnight Fane so that passage to Drezen (in Chapter 5) would be impossible - fixed;
  • The transport situation in Alushinyrra Middle City has been improved, specifically for the Fleshmarkets, and now the characters you need don't come to work late;
  • Visual fixes to buildings in Drezen;
  • While in Iz and Threshold, Targona had a demonic wing regardless of your choices - fixed;
  • Yaker will no longer hang out at Hellknights Outpost if he died in the beginning of chapter 5;
  • Areas that require a certain companion to be present in the party, will no longer be accessible if the companion is dead. Apologies to amateur necromancers;
  • A trap at Mutasafen's Laboratory now works correctly;
  • Added Personal Chest to Threshold camp;
  • Companions no longer help Commander with sex adventures in the brothel (a companion with the highest Fortitude used to roll the checks);
  • In rare cases, the second dialogue with Targona didn't happen in Areelu's Laboratory - fixed;
  • It was possible to get stuck on the balcony of the Assassin's Guild in Alushinyrra is you saved the game nearby - fixed;
  • Now during fights in Alushinyrra, flying islands will ignore camera movements;
  • Now in the final dialogue in the game only the player rolls for checks, not the party members.

Crusade

  • Added mammoth animation;
  • Additional 20 Speed has been added to Vampire Ninja Pirates;
  • Asmodean Clerics now have Slow ability;
  • Bane of Demons didn't work correctly - fixed;
  • Beer Elementals and Lager Beer Elementals finally look like beer!
  • Bestow Curse now has additional use;
  • Bloodragers' damage has been significantly increased;
  • Bolt of Justice — Unholy Enemy now works according to its description;
  • Burning didn't work correctly - fixed;
  • Cause Fear ability now has a sound effect;
  • Church Guards' damage has been moderately increased;
  • Cone of Cold didn't work correctly - fixed;
  • Damage from Ambush has been significantly increased;
  • Dominate can no longer be applied to units with immunity to mind-affecting effects;
  • Dragon Disciples spell power has been slightly decreased;

  • The event card "Pillar of Skulls Calling" sometimes appeared after the event already took place - fixed;
  • The health of Cultist Cutthroats has been slightly increased;
  • The Search button didn't become active after buying the required resources - fixed;
  • The speed of Giant Salamanders has been moderately increased;
  • The spellpower of Illusionists has been significantly decreased;
  • The spellpower of Kineticists has been moderately decreased;
  • The spellpower of Tarry Demodands has been slightly decreased;
  • The Stubborn ability increased the damage more than the design suggested - fixed;
  • The tutorial about army management popped up during the first dialogue with Irabeth - fixed;
  • Visual effect of Fear Aura is shown correctly now;
  • Warpriests' damage and spell power have been moderately increased;
  • Wounded feat didn't work correctly - fixed;
  • Fixed the abrupt end of battle and incorrect order of turns after the effect of Crushing Despair ended;
  • Time Manipulation didn't speed up recruit growth - fixed;
  • Upon finishing the project, the result wasn't displayed - fixed.

Classes & Mechanics

  • Added an ability to dismiss repurpose effect from an undead creature under your command and kill it permanently;
  • Added an error message for attempting to cast mind-affecting spells on the undead;
  • Added name and description for the Dismiss Repurpose ability;
  • Added Skeleton Upgrade Selection for Lich on 10th mythic rank. Characters that already got the 10th mythic rank need to be retrained to get the feature;
  • Additional spell damage from Aspect of Brimorak didn't work - fixed;
  • After retraining a monk, you kept the wisdom bonus to AC for the new class - fixed;
  • Aivu the dragon had Weapon Focus (Dagger) - fixed, but only if you haven't met Aivu yet;
  • Aivu used to eat so many cookies that she could eventually become even more powerful than the Commander, which looked quite strange (it is the Commander who gives her powers, after all). We had to fix it: now her caster level cannot get more than 20, and also the damage of her breath weapon and her damage reduction were decreased a little bit. To not get her upset, we gave Aivu the ability to wear cool shiny bardings instead;
  • Angelfire Apostle and Feyspeaker couldn't merge the spellbook with the Angel - fixed;
  • Angelfire Apostle didn't get 10 level spells when merging spellbook with Angel - fixed;
  • Arcane Bloodrage spell Protection from Arrows didn't have a description - fixed;
  • Ascendant Element mythic ability description has been clarified;
  • Break Enchantment spell didn't remove petrification from characters - fixed;
  • Breath of Life casting took a full round, which was incorrect - fixed;
  • Cruoromancer's animate dead spell on level 3 couldn't be placed into their favorite school slots - fixed;
  • Darrazand used Greater Dispel Magic when you first met him during Drezen siege, which was rather unwise for him - fixed;
  • Demon Lord Aspect mythic ability description has been updated;
  • Disabled notifications on the quest "The Conquest of Alushinyrra" in Demon's mythic path;
  • Doom to Servitude won't work on the undead anymore - what is dead may never die!
  • Dragonkind II transformed the character into a red dragon, even if the character has a gold dragon bloodline - fixed;
  • Ember used to put Evil Eye on her friends - fixed, she promised she won't do it again;
  • Enduring Spells and Greater Enduring Spells worked with the spells cast from scrolls and items - fixed (they will only work with spells you memorized now);
  • Enduring Spells worked on abilities - fixed;
  • Fast Healing buff didn't have a description - fixed;
  • Fixed description of Demonic Aspect;
  • Fixed the texts for some feats of the Gold Dragon;
  • For Arcane Rider with the Enduring Blade ability, the animal companion didn't get the weapon enchantment - fixed;
  • For certain group formations, some characters could not move after Athletics check - fixed;
  • Freezing Cold didn't increase the Winter Witch's caster level by 1 at 6th - fixed;
  • Frightful Presence ability description has been added;
  • Gold Dragon could select racial feats that they were not supposed to have - fixed, but will require retraining if you took those feats already;
  • Gold Dragon mythic path improvements: Perfect Body, Perfect Mind, Perfect Soul features now add a bigger bonus to the attribute with maximum value;
  • Greater Arcane Bloodrage spell Displacement didn't have a description - fixed;
  • Greater Arcane Bloodrage spell Haste didn't have a description - fixed;
  • Greater arcane bloodrage was giving haste or displacement effect for a single round - fixed;
  • Havoc dragon's breath weapon description has been updated;
  • Heavenly Host wasn't giving the Sword of Heaven effect to the whole party - fixed;
  • Hellfire Ray dealt more unholy damage than it was supposed to - fixed;
  • Hellknights could use domain abilities, but couldn't pick mythic ability Domain Zealot - fixed;
  • Azata abilities Heroes Never Surrender and Joy of Life didn't restore restore spells correctly - fixed;
  • Hunt Caller got Call of the Wild — Beast Shape III on level 17 instead of 18, and Beast Shape don't work - fixed;
  • Improved the description of Angel's Sword of Heaven;
  • Improved the description of Azata Supersonic Speed feat;
  • Improved the description of Demonic Rage;
  • It was impossible to talk to a companion after their respec - fixed;
  • Lich's Skeletal Fighter could select bardings and advanced weapon training in Bonus Combat Feat - fixed;
  • Marvelous Endurance fast healing had incorrect calculation - fixed;
  • Mongrel's Blessing had incorrect DC - fixed;
  • Mutasafen has been weakened on difficulty levels below Normal;
  • Mythic Carnivorous Crystal had an unlootable belt and 12 Mythic Levels instead of 6 Mythic Levels - fixed;
  • Negative Energy Fervor — Self didn't have a description - fixed;
  • Nightshade Nightcrawler summoned by Lich didn't do anything - fixed;
  • Now Demon gains the first Demon Lord Aspect at the 9th mythic rank, and the second aspect at the 10th mythical rank. If the character has already reached 9th mythic rank, you'll need to retrain them in order to get the new feature;
  • On a successful save from a Telekinetic Strike, the target used to take half the damage, which was incorrect - fixed;
  • Oracle curses didn't give features from the previous levels when you got a curse after multiclassing - fixed;
  • Player could not select Crossblooded Sorcerer for HKS, it showed as Sage Sorcerer - fixed.
  • Reworked Aeon's Enforcing Gaze feature. Now you have more options to choose from and make builds;
  • Reworked Aivu's Frightful Presence ability so that it can be now activated and deactivated. Sometimes she simply wanted to play and was so sad everybody was running away!
  • Shaman's Evil Eye didn't have VFX that Witch's Evil Eye had - fixed;
  • Shaman's Life Spirit Channel Positive Energy didn't have a description - fixed;
  • Some disease effects from the enemies didn't work correctly with the effects that were supposed to protect from them (such as Aura of Health, for example) - fixed;
  • Song of Courageous Defender wasn't giving DR 5/- to a chosen companion and was giving 5 to energy resistance instead - fixed;
  • Summon Skill says summon "Vilderavn" instead of Wild Hunt - fixed;.
  • Swarm Clone mythic ability description has been updated;
  • The Command Undead ability of the Lich had a too low DC - fixed;
  • The Death of Elements — Consuming Elements ability of the Lich had a wrong usage counter - fixed;
  • The description of Dazed condition was incorrect in some situations - fixed;
  • The descriptions of Aeon's mythic abilities have been updated;
  • The majority of drow used to be neutral - fixed, now they are as evil as they should be;
  • The Sage Sorcerer archetype didn't list the benefits of the Arcane Bloodline, and didn't have any bloodline info in the character panel - fixed;

Known issues:

  • If you leave Drezen right after Anevia gives you the Night Gamblers quest, it may be impossible to speak with the gamblers and Sosiel when you return. Workaround: speak with them as soon as the quest starts. We will fix this issue in one of the future patches.
  • In Alushinyrra some NPCs may end up underground sometimes. If that happens, save the game and reload it.

Update 1.0.5g Patch Notes September 22th 2021

A new patch is here*. The list of changes is quite long, so here’s what you’ve been asking about the most:

  • Now you can complete the quest about 21 daggers;
  • You won’t skip Gray Garrison anymore right after entering by teleporting to the top floor;
  • Now Gold Dragons can rest in Drezen;
  • Your crusade stats won’t get stuck anymore;
  • The Repurpose spell will stop destroying loot and breaking NPCs;
  • Cloaks will stop living la vida loca, and will start to behave;
  • Saves from Last Azlanti mode should stop disappearing under mysterious circumstances.

  • Borrowed dreams quest couldn't be completed if Ciar got mad at the player - fixed;

  • It was impossible to discover the Greengates location if you attacked Arueshalae during the siege of Drezen - fixed;

Update 1.0.3d Patch Notes September 17th 2021

We’ve just uploaded a hot-fix for the following issues:

  • Couldn’t choose the mythic path of Gold Dragon after retraining - fixed. If you retrained before the 1.0.3 patch, and Gold Dragon didn’t work, this should fix your problem;
  • The ruler of Alushinyrra and her guest wasn’t present during your audience with them in chapter 4 - fixed;
  • The game will stop pausing after the level-up interface now;
  • You will be able to retrain a character on the Demon Mythic Path now. However, if you retrained your demon in chapter 2 in version 1.0.2, you will need to load an earlier save, before you retrained. Otherwise you will have issues with the event when you get summoned in a dream and the following events.

Known issues:
In chapter 5, on the Mythic Path of Demon, Yozz will come to speak with you right after the summit and ask to come with him. If you tell him that you need more time to prepare, you won’t be able to progress the quest. The workaround is to go with him without delay.

  • In chapter 5 don’t skip the scene of getting a Mythic level, it may break the game;
  • Re-training your character will break late-game Mythic Paths, such as Legend, Gold Dragon, Swarm-that-Walks, a secret path;
  • Sometimes opening a UI that pauses the game, such as level up screen, may pause the game even after. Workaround: Open and close the inventory if it happens;
  • Characters on a secret mythic path, who have already taken mythic ranks in it, won't be able to get mythic feats or abilities from previous mythic ranks of that mythic path.

  • A cut-scene with Rhamisa could trigger twice if you went into her hideout again - fixed;
  • A romantic scene with Galfrey didn’t start before Midnight Fane - fixed;
  • Dragon's Awakening: Halaseliax could stay in Drezen while he was supposed to leave for Kenabres - fixed;
  • Fighting against your previous companions on some difficulties resulted in their resurrection after a fight - fixed;
  • In chapter 1, if, after scouting the Tower of Estrod, you failed to report to Irabeth before the attack on the tavern started, this objective wouldn’t be completed - fixed. You will receive another objective;
  • Fixed replies in the dialogue with Nocticula during Demon’s quest in chapter 5.

Areas

  • Killing (and looting) Seelah in Molten Scar would break the game later on. Fixed for new games, but an already affected playthrough requires loading an earlier save;
  • Iz: visiting the place of the boss fight before the boss arrives would make it impossible to start the dialogue later - fixed;
  • Fixed Azata’s navigation issues in Drezen;
  • Some players couldn’t enter Hellknights Outpost in chapter 5 - fixed;

  • Arcane Enforcer couldn’t select the Full Reservoir mythic ability - fixed;
  • Magus’ Spellstrike ability wasn't working correctly with reach weapons if the target wasn't in touch range - fixed;
  • Bolstered Metamagic added 2 damage per Caster Level, instead of 2 damage per damage die - fixed;
  • Mythic Lich was not becoming a true undead creature. Resolution: Killed him to undeath;
  • In some instances during Aeons playthrough some enemies could revive themselves indefinitely - fixed;
  • Intimidating Display could disappear - fixed;
  • Eyes of the Bodak spell no longer can kill NPCs in cities;
  • Gold Dragon’s Perfect Mind ability didn’t provide some of the bonuses stated in the description - fixed;
  • Swarm-that-Walks got fatigued instead of gaining the immunity to fatigue - fixed;
  • Some abilities no longer keep giving bonuses after retraining;

  • Prediction panel in TBM was mistakenly showing Spell Combat attack as possible in cases where it wasn't (e.g. when the character was using a two-handed weapon) - fixed;
  • TBM did not work in some places with moving/appearing objects - fixed;
  • Charge ability was getting interrupted randomly before starting - fixed.

Items

  • The attack bonus from Dead Bough's scorches stacked multiple times - fixed;
  • The Triceratops Statuette took away the ability to mount - fixed;
  • Tankard of Free Spirit didn't summon anything if the owner's level was below 7 - fixed;
  • Victims' Madness didn't have a description - fixed;
  • Bane spell granted by Unholy Signet had a wrong DC - fixed;
  • Red Dragon Helmet didn't display on the characters - fixed;
  • In the Numerian dungeon, you could loot a weapon without a name or description. It has a name and description, though you can't equip it;
  • Unending Distortion didn't work - fixed;
  • Francest's Charming Voice and Francest's Mighty Call now display proper mechanical descriptions.

User Interfaces

  • In auto-crusade mode, it was impossible to move on the global map sometimes - fixed;
  • Completing Camellia's quest in chapter 5 didn't always provide an update to her story in the UI - fixed;
  • Fixed the issue with targeting spells on the portraits of the characters;
  • Inventory and Character sheet were empty in some cases - fixed;
  • Head slot is available for animal companions from now on;
  • Parts of character could turn white when switching a headgear or equipped items several times rapidly - fixed;
  • Fixed the wrong marker for the Grudges to Settle quest on the map of Alushinyrra;
  • Added tooltips for the menu bar buttons that were missing them.

Audio

  • Dead characters sometimes continued to play sounds - fixed;
  • Burning houses in Kenabres stopped playing sound effects after saving and loading again - fixed.

Misс

  • Fixed a bug when after a minotaur's death, its flail was floating in the air;
  • Fixed the achievements Truly Important Deed, Get the Toad;
  • Fixed the fight in the Arendae Party House - your party no longer starts the combat flat-footed;
  • Fixed some crashes related to particle effects;
  • Fixed the game hanging instead of returning to the main menu when you complete it;
  • Fixed the visual of Mythic Lich;
  • Added a character retrain interface. Now you can’t interrupt retraining anymore;
  • Fix the Dominate Person effect on the main character;
  • Fixed the issue with the animation of the Master Backstabber ability.

Update 1.0.2e/1.0.2b Patch Notes September 10th 2021

Overall the developers have fixed a lot with the recent patch on September 10th, below you can find a small overview of the most notable things to be found in the recent patch.

  • Auto-casting issue has been fixed too;
  • The problem with vendors not buying your loot has been fixed as well;
  • Archers no longer change their target for no reason at all;
  • Some achievements got fixed;
  • We also fixed a number of items;
  • Some mythic quests didn’t progress - and now they do;
  • The issue with Intel GPU has also been fixed (read below)

Quests

  • The Final Verdict: it was impossible to speak with Regill after the event, and leave him in the party - fixed;
  • Conspiracy in Shadows: a dialogue with Yozz was looping - fixed;
  • Conspiracy in Shadows: it was impossible to complete the quest if you killed a certain NPC - fixed;
  • Conspiracy in Shadows: it was impossible to exit from Shamira’s palace after loading an autosave - fixed;
  • In Mythic Demon’s quest in chapter 5 one NPC’s allies couldn’t be killed - fixed;
  • Dragon's Awakening: marked on the map places where the NPCs need your help;
  • The Light Within quest didn’t progress for Angel Mythic Path - fixed;
  • Arueshalae's quest couldn’t be completed if it required Nurah's answer - fixed;
  • Fixed Sosiel’s quest in chapter 4;
  • Sometimes you couldn’t get an ending for Seelah’s questline - fixed;
  • Fixed a throne room event with Anevia, that was blocked by Sosiels romance event in chapter 5;
  • The Price of Loyalty: fixed the cut-scene freezing if you are on the Demon’s mythic path and finished the preparations yourself;
  • Iz: the Swarm-that-Walks and Gold Dragon can now use their unique dialogue options to affect the boss battle;
  • You can now tell Daeran about the Inquisitor’s plan in chapter 5;
  • After completing the Third Wheel quest, Morevet Honeyed Tongue still had dialogue options related to the quest - fixed.

  • Fixed fog of war in Drezen’s temple;
  • Optimized the lighting in Aeon’s scene in Threshold;
  • Fixed camera movements in Threshold;

  • Midnight Fane: some companions, who were not in the party at the moment, could hover above the floor - fixed;
  • Spoiler - Animated Weapons and Armors in Finnean’s quest had their natural armor reduced on core and higher difficulties;
  • Added a reminder to the journal to pick your equipment at the beginning of Colyphyr Mines
  • In Colyphyr Dungeon, when your equipment was confiscated, your companions also lost theirs - fixed;
  • When transitioning from Ten Thousand Delights for Fleshmarkets, the party could end up underground
  • In Ten Thousand Delights it was possible to sink underground - fixed;
  • Removed an unnecessary skill check in a house in the Upper City in chapter 4;
  • Teleportation arcs have been marked on the map in chapter 4;
  • Vendors and important NPC are now marked on the map in chapter 4;
  • Dry Crossroads: reduced the difficulty of battles;
  • Neathholm: improved the performance, highlighted the important spots;
  • It was impossible to trade with Sarzaksys at the Fleshmarkets - fixed;
  • Residents of Drezen now leave when a battle begins;
  • Fixed camera movement in The Ivory Labyrinth area;
  • Improved the lighting in The Ivory Labyrinth area;
  • It’s possible now to return to the ruined temple in the prologue after you jumped across the chasm.

Crusade

  • Added a tooltip for hospital’s progress bar in tactical combat;
  • Defence banner could turn red, even if demons weren’t attacking your forts - fixed;
  • Initial power of the Generals has been increased;
  • Swords of Gorum project could be received multiple times - fixed; if the Swords of Gorum project was being resolved at the moment of the patch application - it will be resolved automatically;
  • Quests that required waiting in auto crusade mode now have information about the time of waiting;
  • Tutorial in tactical battles have been fixed;
  • Wenduag used to appear in the throne room during the military council, when she shouldn’t have - fixed;
  • Damage of all Ranger's trap abilities has been moderately increased;
  • Cards of the finished projects used to remain on the right with an exclamation mark, until you open them. Now after the project is complete, the card will be automatically opened to inform you that the project is done, then go away;
  • After choosing a decision in an event, the card would close without showing the outcome - fixed;
  • Indication whether it’s possible or not to start an event wasn’t changing over time - fixed;
  • Fixed a visual bug with a boulder in tactical battle;
  • Tooltips have been added for the damage done by the abilities of Generals and troops.

Classes & Mechanics

  • Sometimes archers changed the target chosen by the player and started to attack someone else - fixed;
  • Numerous swarms could crawl over the same character - fixed;
  • Parameters of rat swarms and locusts swarms have been tweaked;
  • Animal Companion was present in the Group Manager window - fixed;
  • Death of the main character didn’t count as a game over sometimes - fixed;
  • Enemy's illusionists could cast colour spray on their allies - fixed;
  • Mounted effect didn't dispel after the rest, hence mounting lagged. Resolution: now it dispels;
  • Some Animal Companions' attacks were missing - fixed;
  • If you retrained a Kitsune and chose another race, you could still have a Kitsune Bite - fixed;
  • Vital Strike now works with ranged weapons;
  • Followers of Godclaw weren't able to pick positive or negative channel ability - fixed;
  • Mythics Legend's Corruption Resistance didn't work - fixed;
  • Velociraptor animal companion's talons were dealing 1d3 damage instead of 1d6 - fixed;
  • Mythic classes were losing ability to use mythic summons after gaining Mythic rank 3 - fixed.

Turn-based mode

  • When skipping a turn, tooltips could get stuck - fixed.

Items

  • Robe of Transmutation could be equipped only in the Armor slot, not the Shirt slot. Resolution: fixed, if it was equipped - don't forget to equip it again, as it will be unequipped after the patch, and put into the inventory;
  • The Signet of House Vespertilio disappeared after 1 use. Resolution: it no longer disappears. If it is no longer in your inventory after you've built a bridge on Kenabres square - it will reappear in your inventory;
  • Wrath of the Undead aura was affecting neutral units - fixed;
  • Estoc of Purity didn't have cold iron quality - fixed;
  • Light Crossbow of Oracle's Misery effects didn't have any descriptions - fixed;
  • The Hat of Heartening Song didn't have an icon - fixed;
  • Mantle of Night didn't work as intended - fixed.

User Interfaces

  • Fixed some SPOILER companion's UI story updates not working;
  • Auto-cast spells were getting disabled after loading a save - fixed;
  • Added an option to move the camera with the middle mouse button on the global map, and on the local map (while holding Alt);
  • Some Mythic Paths had empty prerequisites - fixed;
  • Improved the visual of tridents;
  • After deleting all saved games, the "Continue" button in the main menu could still be pressed - fixed;
  • Previously looted corpses with some loot left on them did not save their "loot was checked" status - fixed;
  • The combat log no longer reverts to its initial size after reloading;
  • During character creation it wasn’t possible to customize the human shape of kitsune - fixed;
  • Voice settings were reset after going back and then returning to the voice selection - fixed;
  • During character retraining, it was impossible to select the same portrait you’ve been using before - fixed;
  • Vendor inventory would stop working correctly in some cases - fixed;
  • Some weapon enchantment effects stay in the inventory window after character is changed - fixed;
  • Mythic Angel’s description was missing in the UI - fixed;
  • In character creator it was possible to change the race of a pre-generated character - fixed;
  • The intention lines didn’t work correctly in battles - fixed;
  • Spells blinked while switching toggle "Possible spells" in the spellbook - fixed;
  • The names of settings tabs were displayed incorrectly after saving the changes - fixed;
  • Combat log wasn’t clearing after loading a save with a different protagonist - fixed.

  • Fixed Spark, Memories frozen in time, Prelate's Nemesis achievements;
  • GOG Only: Updated Galaxy SDK, which should solve Galaxy-related crash issues;
  • Fixed the issue with the animation of the stretcher-bearers in the first cutscene;
  • In Mythic Demon’s path: fixed the appearance of Tarshary;
  • Some slides couldn’t appear in the epilogue - fixed;
  • Fixed another rare case of crashing to the main menu;

  • Fixed the issue that led to crashes with Intel GPU (you will get better performance if you run the game in 1366х768 resolution);
  • Sometimes buffs and status effects on the main character could stay on even after reload - fixed;
  • Fixed incorrect XP numbers for the checks with very high DC;
  • Added an auto save right after arriving to Colyphyr Mines;
  • FIxed Hepzamirah’s weapon appearance during battle.

  • Arcane Trickster prestige-class was impossible to pick even with all prerequisites met - fixed
  • Persistent metamagic could not be applied to any spells - fixed
  • Swarms dealt damage each time they touched a unit instead of once per round - fixed
  • Some of Mythic Angel's summons had zero charges - fixed
  • Arcanist's Arcane Reservoir could sometimes stop replenishing after rest - fixed
  • Swarm-that-Walks' Swarm Feast ability wasn't correctly giving 50% miss chance against ranged attacks - fixed
  • Swarm-that-walks can use Devour twice on one target (first time passively when killing someone with spell, and second time with Devour ability after save-load) - fixed
  • Swarm-that-Walks' Devour ability could be used on living targets - fixed
  • Swarm-that-Walks suffered during camping due to the lack of companions - fixed, we added some mechanics to ease it
  • Swarm-that-Walks could lose some abilities when leveling up - fixed
  • Party AI didn’t attack enemies if Hold option enabled and the main character has no line of sight with enemies - fixed

Turn-based mode

  • A turn would freeze for a mounted character, if the mount has used its movement, but the player tried to attack regardless - fixed
  • Cairn Wights couldn’t be killed in TBM because they got more temporary HP every time you highlight them with a mouse, or their turn starts - fixed
  • Sometimes, highlighting an enemy character will provoke an attack of opportunity against it - fixed

Items

  • Armor is not displayed when equipped on pets - fixed
  • Metamagic effects didn’t apply to scrolls crafted on rest - fixed
  • Kinetic diadems applied incorrect bonus values - fixed
  • Draven's Hat gave unlimited quicken metamagic - fixed
  • Triceratops spawned from a statuette didn't have a proper sound bank - fixed
  • Darkness Mask, Circle Mask, Summit Mask and Question Mask were considered trash loot - fixed
  • Quivers didn't spend their ammunition when used with specific weapon types - fixed

User Interfaces

  • Opening the encyclopedia from the tutorial didn’t show the correct page - fixed
  • In the character sheet, additional attacks of the animal companion were not displayed - fixed
  • Fixed broken links in the credits

  • On Windows 7, video was not displayed in the tutorials and during the launch of the game - fixed

  • Fixed an issue when the dialogue window would scroll down to the lowes of possible answers, obscuring the text of the dialogue

  • Bows' visuals have been improved.
  • Occasionally you couldn’ pause by pressing the spacebar - fixed
  • The tank is always selected from the party to loot containers, even if he/she is farther away from it than others. Now the character, who can get to it faster, will pick the loot
  • Monitor lizard animal companion was moving backwards - fixed
  • A crash to the main menu could occur when loading a location, due to a unit missing the visual part - fixed
  • Fixed an issue when a scimitar was sheathed incorrectly
  • All of Animal Companion's equipment disappeared after respecialization - fixed.

  1. Without multiplayer option, they lose many potential players. That’s why it’s one step behind games like Baldur’s Gate 3. If they don’t add the ability to play with friends, they’ll gradually fall further and further behind.
