Sony's PlayStation 5 is one of the hottest consoles with a vast library of games. Many of these games have the latest and greatest graphics, as well as a photo mode to take advantage of them. These can be shared with the PlayStation App and transferred to another device. This may leave you wondering how to get captures off your PS5 and onto your PS App.

How to get captures on your through the PlayStation App

The two requirements to share your PS5 captures to your PS App are downloading the app on a smartphone and having both the app and PS5 logged into the same account. You must also have both updated to the current version. This will then let you share captures from your PS5 to your phone. Here is how to get PS5 captures to your PS App.

  • Link your PlayStation 5 to the PS App.
  • Make sure your PS5 is on the Stay Connected to the Internet setting.
  • Click Game Library.
  • Select the Captures tab.
  • Enable Captures on the PS App.

Any captures from your PS5 will automatically be uploaded to the PS App. This includes screenshots and videos up to three minutes in length. Once the captures are uploaded to your PS App, you must download them. Here is how to download captures from the PS5 through the PS App.

  • Go to Game Library.
  • Select the Capture you wish to download.
  • Select Download.
  • Click Share.
  • Select where you want to send the capture with the Share Via button.
