All new status conditions revealed in huge Pokémon Legends: Arceus leak

The excessive amount of snow in this game is bound to inflict more statuses.

Aside from gimmicks, Pokémon hasn’t introduced something new to the base game since the addition of Fairy-types in X/Y. However, recent leaks show that we may be getting something new in Pokémon Legends: Arceus: status conditions.

In a series of leaks by @CentroLeaks, it was revealed that five new status conditions will be added to Pokémon Legends: Arceus:

  1. Drowzy: Instead of putting Pokémon to sleep, moves like Hypnosis can make Pokémon Drowzy. A Drowzy Pokémon is more likely to miss when attacking, especially when it’s snowing. They also take more damage from the opposing Pokémon.
  2. Fixated: The Fixated status has an effect similar to a Pokémon holding a Choice Item: it boosts the power of one move, though they will only be able to use that. Certain Pokémon moves can trigger it.
  3. Frostbite: This will replace the Frozen status. Frostbitten Pokémon have their Sp Atk reduced and receives damage at the end of every turn.
  4. Obscured: Obscured Pokémon are more likely to evade attacks. The Obscured status can be gained by Pokémon hiding in the mud or slightly out of sight.
  5. Primed: Primed Pokémon deal more damage.

Given their unique mechanics, these status effects are expected to only be available in Pokémon Legends—at least for now.
