Pokémon Legends: Arceus releases on Jan. 28, 2022, and is set to shake up the entire Pokémon formula. Numerous leaks have been released ahead of the game's launch, and much new information is being revealed. One such feature is the addition of size variance.
Leaked images by Abyzabwastaken reveal this new feature and how size variance works. According to the leak, each Pokémon is assigned a value that matches the height of the Pokémon, ranging from 0 to 255. Alpha Pokémon will have a maximum value of 255, and tiny Pokémon will have a value of 0.

This feature will add a new layer to Pokémon and allow players to have Pokémon of varying sizes. Some may prefer their Pokémon big, but others can hunt down tiny adorable versions of their favorite Pokémon. Regardless of which you prefer, it will be exciting to see the different sizes in-game!
Size hunting could very well become a new alternative to shiny hunting. However, we will likely have to wait until release to see exactly how the size value is determined for Pokémon, so come Jan. 28, you had best be ready to look for Pokémon big and small!
