In Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Hisuian Samurott sports a black and red shell that coats the outside of this Water-type starter, a departure from the original white armor. Samurott's shiny appearance is notable because it looks almost identical to the Unova variant's design.

The color change isn't the only change for Hisuian Samurott in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. According to the leaks, the water starter now has a Water / Dark-typing, making it a dual-type starter when the Unovan Samurott was strictly Water-type.
