How to evolve Ralts into Kirlia in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

Ralts and its third evolution, Gardevoir, have become some of the most popular Pokémon. This evolutionary line returns in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. You can encounter these Pokémon fairly early, which may leave you wondering when Ralts evolves in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

What level does Ralts evolve in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet?

Ralts will evolve into Kirlia in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet when it reaches level 20. After evolving into Kirlia, this Psychic/Fairy-type Pokémon can become two different Pokémon. These are Gardevoir and Gallade, both having different evolution methods.

What level does Kirlia evolve into Gardevoir and Gallade in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet?

Once Ralts has evolved into Kirlia at level 20, it will evolve into Gardevoir or Gallade. Upon reaching level 30, Kirlia will evolve into Gardevoir, regardless of gender. However, if you have a male Kirlia, you can give it a Dawn Stone to evolve it into Gallade. This can be done at any level, so you do not need to wait until level 30 to evolve Kirlia into Gallade.

Gardevoir and Gallade are both great Pokémon, so you should decide if you prefer a physical or special attacker. Additionally, Gallade drops Kirlia's Fairy-type and is Psychic/Fighting-type instead. We recommend looking at your team and other Pokémon before deciding which version you choose.
