How to evolve Sandile into Krokorok in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

This croc takes some time and attention.

Sandile is an adorbale Ground/Dark-type crocoile in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. You will first encounter this Pokémon in the Asado Desert, and once you capture one, you can begin training it to evolve into Krokodile and eventually Krookodile. However, you may notice that it takes a long time for Sandile to evolve, which may leave you wondering what Sandile's evolution level is in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

What level does Sandile into Krokorok evolve in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet?

In Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, Sandile will evolve into Krokorok at level 29. This is rather late for a first stage Pokémon, and you will likely notice that Sandile's power will fall off as you get near its evolution level. We recommend leaving it in your party while training other Pokémon to get those last few levels before it evolves.

What level does Krokorok evolve into Krookodile in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet?

Once Sandile has evolved into Krokorok, you will need to raise Krokorok to level 40 before it evolves into Krookodile. Just as Sandile may struggle toward the end of its evolution period, Krokorok may struggle as well. But the grind and wait are well worth it, as Krookodile is a powerful Pokémon, especially with the ability Moxie.

You can speed up Sandile and Krokodile's evolution time by using Rare Candies or Exp. Candies. These can be grinded from Tera Raids and can quickly level up the Pokémon and cause them to evolve faster without the grind.
